the dragon race have always been serving the demon race since the beginning of time. it has been tradition for the offspring of the demon king to select their own hatchling after killing their first goddess. the eldest son of the demon king, meliodas, at an early age killed his first goddess. his parents were extremely proud and celebrated. naturally, they strictly followed the tradition. the dragon king, picked out their most promising offspring hatchlings for the demon prince, including his own daughter.

meliodas, whom wasn't too keen on choosing a hatchling, came across a [ f/c ] egg during his ceremony. he stopped in place as he felt immediately attracted to this single egg. it turned out the egg he was attached to, was the dragon's kings daughter.

years later, the hatchling evolved into the strongest dragon there is. she began to take on multiple different abilities as she had been born a new and extremely rare type of dragon. which reflected her demon extremely well. meliodas grew to be the strongest demon warrior there was, succeeding everyone's expectations on him easily.

during an important battle for the demon race, meliodas's dragon, [ y/n ], got severely injured by blocking a fatal blow sent towards meliodas by a goddess. meliodas whom had come to be completely enraptured by [ y/n ], felt his heart drop at the scene occurring in front of him. the life of his lovers eyes quickly fading away and becoming more and more dull with every passing second.

he made a promise to himself that day. which was that he would do everything in his power to end this petty war, and protect [ y/n ] till his final breath. his promise had led for him to switch sides during the holy war, causing an unbalance within the sides.

3,000 years pass, years worth of moments filled with heartache, happiness, anger, love, and lust. yet, both of their lives had only become increasingly more complicated since the war.
