chapter one

"J I need to piss pull over at this gas station," I demanded to my twin brother who was driving our car.

"What's the magic word?" he smirked, knowing he was pissing me off.

"Come on you're gonna miss the turn off dick ward."

"Hey language!" my mother yelled from the back seat.

He turned his head towards me with his eyebrows raised, waiting for me to give in.

"Fine, pleassseee J," I huffed.

He nodded in response and turned into the gas station. We all hopped out of the car and I sprinted inside the station to go to the bathroom. After I finished my business I walked back into the gas station. My brother was standing in front of the drink fridges, deciding on what he wanted.

"Is mom back in the car?" I asked.

"yeah why?" he asked.

"cigs."

He nodded in response.

I walked up to the front counter where I was met by a boy. He was around the same age as me with brunette fluffy hair and a jawline that I swear could cut a piece of paper. Safe to say he was hot. He gave me a soft smile and began to speak.

"I like your necklace," he smiled.

"Thanks," I smiled back. I bought my hand up to hold my necklace tightly. it meant a lot to me. For my 13th birthday, my dad bought me this necklace because he used to call me his daisy, but less than a year later he passed away in a car accident. I miss him more than anything and so do my mom and brother.

"What can I get you?"

"Oh yeah um, a packet of Marlboro cigarettes thanks."

he went behind the counter and pulled out a packet for me, "anything else?"

"Nah that's it," I replied.

"okay that's $10 or free if I can get your snap?" he smirked.

I let out a soft laugh, I mean, why not? "sounds good to me."

He handed me his phone and I added myself on snap before handing it back to him.

"You coming to the bonfire tonight?" he asked.

"Yeah, you?"

"Yeah, I'll see you there then."

"Alright, bye..." I paused for a second to read his name tag. "bye josh."

"bye..." he checked his snap to see my name, "bye may."

I grabbed the cigs and hid them in my back pocket so my mom wouldn't see them and met my brother out of the front of the shop.
