Perched atop the wall, I witnessed my lover's horrifying transformation into a monster, a scene beyond imagination that shattered my heart into pieces. As her partner, I was supposed to protect her, but I had failed. All I could do was scream her name in anguish: "Dina...no!"

Dina looked at me, tears covering her eyes: "Darling...no matter what I become...don't worry, I will find you". She give me a soft smile and fall down the damn wall turning into a titan!

End of dream

I woke up in the middle of night, breath came out heavily. I felt my heart speed like it was going to reap my chest out while sweat covering my forhead. Dizziness made me wondering where was I until a warm hand reached my shoulder and brought me back to reality!

I turned around to see Carla watching me with worried eyes, lips parted away while her other hand reached out for my chin: "Hey darling...I am right her! It's just a nightmare and you are oK now". Hearing her soft words somehow eased down my pain.
I leaned my forehead toward hers and closed my eyes trying to breath slowly despite the pain.

It has been 12 years since I lost Dina and Zeke that day... I was supposed to die then but I didn't. I wish if I could tell you, Carla, that it wasn't a nightmare! Although I wish if it was.

There are huge burden lying on my chest, things I wanted to tell you, heavy feeling I wanted to share and cry...But when I looked into your eyes, I became afraid that if I had told you, you wouldn't have let me continue...and we would be on huge odds due to your protective nature...
Suddenly Carla grapped my head and pulled me strongly to her chest! She hugged me tightly like if she felt my sorrow and read my mind...!

I felt warm sense flew through my chest. She was kind and warm-hearted woman whom fate brought into my life to start a new beginning and gather the broken pieces of my soul.

I never imagined I would find new love again! her love was unique and strong like a beacon of hope. We've been married for more than ten years and have bright kid, Eren, who has a tourch of freedom glowing throught his green eyes! I can see that beacon right there without even telling him the truth about this world and without he knowing what kind of destiny is awaiting for him.

The longing for freedom, it's been deep down inside his heart since birth and I am glad ...it was what I've always hoped for. So when the fateful day come, I will pass the power to him knowing that he'll continue willingly at the same path Mr. Kruger and I have walked through...

Am I will be able to fix the mistake that cost me two precious people and led my comrades to their doom?
Wil our sacrifice be rewarded?

After two hours

Carla went throught deep sleep, but I couldn't...somehow past events started to flow inside my head. I woke up slowly and went towards the kitchen to make cup of coffee. Then I headed towards the basement.

Since I came to Paradise Island, I used to document all what I had been encountered. Writing was the only way I had to express what I felt since I wasn't able to share anything related to my previous life to anyone.
Yolanda birthday will be soon. I don't have much time left, I have to prepare myself to answer her questions as I promised her. Actually, she forced me to make a promise after her many failure attempts to know the truth about her parents...all I could do was delaying the inevitable. She seemed to remember glimpses of what happened that day. Is it safe to tell her the truth? I took deep breath and started to write the last chapter...
