Large volumes of books in various languages and editions fill the shelves of the old study. Unlike the other rooms, this study has its own kind of splendor to it, and somehow you can't explain what it is. You take a book from one of the shelves and read an excerpt.

Nutmeg, or myristica fragrans, is a hard, spicy seed about as big as a marble, obtained from the fruit of an East Indian tree. It is used for flavoring food.

The spice nutmeg has a distinctive pungent fragrance and a warm slightly sweet taste, although when it is consumed in large amounts, nutmeg has psychoactive effects and is reported to be a deliriant and hallucinogen due to containing myristicin. Nutmeg poisoning is rarely fatal but can cause convulsions, palpitations, and pain.
