I noticed his expression change from a confused stare, to a happy one. “I-It’s nothing,” he said, sighing, his shoulders slumping. I stalked towards him, knowing full well that he was hiding something from me. I put my hands on his shoulders and stared him down.
“Tell me,” I demanded.
“No.” Furious, I shook his shoulders, hoping to shake some sense into him, but he didn’t utter a word, just smiled at me.
“Fine, don’t tell me!” I shouted and walked away. I heard my mum cheer in glee inside my room…probably finding the clothes Dannika left here that one time. Tonight, I decided, I will change all of my clothes over, and if I can’t, then I’m going shopping.
I locked myself in the bathroom and slid down the door until I was sitting on the floor. What had happened to my life?
“Hey Emma,” I heard a familiar voice say. I looked up and saw Tyler. I opened my mouth, but before I could let anything out, he clamped his hand over it, muffling my scream.
“If I remove my hand, you promise you won’t scream, okay?” he asked, hesitant. I nodded and he slowly pulled his hand away.
“What are you doing in here?” I asked, standing up. He shrugged.
“Calix pushed me in here,” he said, pouting. He looked cute pouting- what am I thinking? I shook my head and looked pointedly at him.
“The door wasn’t locked, so why didn’t you just walk out?” Hus eyes widened and he face palmed while I started chuckling. I opened the door wide…and saw Calix. He was glaring at Tyler, who was behind me, and I sighed, before pushing past him.
Walking a step or two away, I felt myself being stopped by Calix. Didn’t he know I was mad at him?
“Let go, Calix!” I exclaimed, trying to pull away from his grasp. He didn’t let go of my hand, but held it tighter, but not tight enough for it to hurt. I heard him sigh as he let go of my hand, and spun me around to face him. We were at arm’s length now.
“What do you wan-”
“This is really good entertainment, but you see Calix, I must be going!” Tyler said, motioning to his watch. I rolled my eyes and gave Calix a questioning look, but he was death glaring Tyler.
“Oh!” Tyler said, backing away and slamming the door in our faces.

I have been kicked out of my room so I won’t go through my bags. If I have to, I will wear these clothes for the whole of the trip. Calix and I were sleeping on the couch, and it was really comfortable.
I snuggled further into Calix, and started to devise a plan about what I was going to do about clothes.
“Hmm?” I murmured. I looked up at Calix as he played with my hair. I pulled my hands away from his waist and rubbed my eyes.
“Good morning,” he murmured.
“What time-” I saw Calix’s expression change, and he sat up, making me fall off the couch with‘oomph.’ I glared up at him as he looked down at me apologetically. Then, he motioned towards the clock and I looked at it, my eyes widening.
Standing up quickly, I raced over to a small pile of clothes that Mum had left out, and filed through them, finding a white short sleeved blouse, a black skirt that fell above my knees, stockings and a pair of brown leather ankle boots. I sighed in gratitude. I looked over at Calix and he smiled at me before standing up and moving off towards the other bathroom while I went off to the one Tyler and I had occupied the day before.
