Prompt: Ludwig can't find Coots and asks the reader to help, he gets stressed out while the reader tries to comfort him but turns out Coots just fell asleep under the couch and scared the hell out of both of them.

You we're sitting in your shared room you had with your boyfriend Ludwig. He was streaming so you decided to take some time to yourself and catch up on some of your favorite books. It wasn't long till you heard your name called from the other end of the house. "Yes?" You called back. "Have you seen Coots?" Ludwig yells getting closer to your room. "No why?" You respond back as he reaches the door way with a worried look. "I have no idea where she went. She was in my office and then when I searched around after ending stream she wasn't there." He said with a stressed tone. You got up from your bed and walked over to Ludwig, placing your hand on his bicep and rubbing lightly. "I'm sure she didn't go very far. I'll help you look." You say as he nods.

You both begin to do a house-wide search for this small white kitten. You would've thought it would have been easy considering Coots stands out but, you were searching everywhere. "Pspspsps, come here baby." You would call, in hopes of having the cat come running out from somewhere. You could hear Ludwig talking to one of your roommates and his friend Anthony or "Slime" as he would call him sometimes. "(Y/N) said that they could find Coots and I was wondering if she ended up in here." He said in the distance. Even quieter you heard Anthony's response, "Do you need me to help you and her? Cause I can pause my stream?" "Nono, your fine man, I appreciate it. Bye stream-" You heard Lud say before hearing the door close.

You walk back over to him and he looks at you with this sorrowful look. "I don't know where she went- I swear I've searched everywhere." He says stressed. You take him into a loving embrace for a short time as he lays his head on your shoulder. "Did you check under stuff?" You ask curiously. It was then that Ludwig lifted his head like a lightbulb went off. He let go of you and walk back over to his office and began to search under the furniture. You watched him as he got down onto the floor to look under the couch. He gasps loudly and sounded relieved. "Oh my god Coots don't fucking scare me like that buddy." He said reaching under the couch and pulling out the white cat.

She had seemed to have been waking up from a nap. You felt the tension in your chest subside in relief knowing that the cat you shared was safe. "Oh thank the lord." You say with a small smile
Ludwig smiled back at you as he held Coots in his hands. "Hello baby. You're all sleepy huh? I know- but you scared me buddy." He was speaking to the cat as she yawned. It was honestly super cute to watch your boyfriend talk to animals so politely. "You wanna go to (Y/N)? Yeah you wanna go to them? Alright you little scoundrel." He said jokingly as he handed the cat over to you softly. "Awe hello baby." You said softly as Ludwig walked behind you, snaking his arms around your waist and placing his chin on your shoulder.

"Thank you for not killing me for almost losing your cat." He said with a slight chuckle. "I wouldn't have killed you, that's a little dramatic. I would've... possibly broken your kneecaps in exchange for a new cat." You said with an evil smirk. "Okay now that's dramatic." He said lifting his head up from your shoulder while still holding onto your waist. "Nahhh I don't know what your talking about." You say as you pet Coots as she falls back asleep in your arms. You feel Ludwig kiss the back of your head lovingly as his arms release from your sides.

"Nonono, If I'm in kitten cuddle jail then you have to stay in my cuddle jail sir-" You say as you turn around to him. "Says who?" He smirks. "The law. It's me, I'm the law- SO GET OVER HERE-" You say as you begin to approach him, cat in arms, as he tries to walk away. "Awe hell no-"

You both were goofballs, but the kind of goofballs that loved each other a lot.
