Chapter 16: He loves Her

13 YEARS AGO

“You should lie down for a moment. I'll get you some fruits, okay?” Amelia said as she made (Y/n) lie down the hospital bed slowly.

Before she could remove her hands, (Y/n) grabbed it then she stares at Amelia.

“Um...” (Y/n) opened her mouth hesitantly. It has been hours since she woke up and she never spoke a word. “Where is he?”

Amelia was surprised for a moment. Maybe  her memories are back??

“Do you remember anything now?” Amelia asked as she sat down beside (Y/n).

“I have to go and meet him near the river.” She weakly said.

‘Could she be talking about the Rindo boy?’ Amelia thoughts.

She was about to sit back up but when she pushed herself up, she groaned in pain after moving her broken fingers. “Ah! It hurts!” She cried. Amelia immediately pushed her back down then gave her a reassuring look.

“You should take a break okay? He'll come here later.” Amelia assured.

“But—” She was about to protest but then she just nodded. “Okay.”

“Taka-chan, what're we doing in the hospital?” Hakkai asked as he tagged along Mitsuya.

“We're visiting my cousin, idiot.” Mitsuya replied then he slid the door open with a smile.

When they entered the room, they saw (Y/n) on the bed, looking out the window with a wistful look on her face.

“(Y/n).” Mitsuya called making her look over to Mitsuya and Hakkai's direction. She bit her tongue as she held her breath. She didn't know the two so she just stayed silent.

“Oh, I see. You still haven't regained your memory.” Mitsuya said, placing a plastic with three apples inside on top of her overbed.

“Mom said that my cousin would be visiting me today so I'm assuming that you're my cousin.” (Y/n) spoke. Mitsuya nodded then he parked his self on the chair beside (Y/n)'s bed.

“How are you feeling right now?” Mitsuya asked. She looked at her broken finger that was wrapped with bandages.

“I'm... Fine.” She replied.

“Maybe if I had just forbid you from the beginning to stop talking to him maybe this wouldn't happen.” Mitsuya mumbled to himself.

“Did you say something?” (Y/n) asked.

Mitsuya shook his head with a smile on his face then he took the apple from the plastic. “Nothing. Ah, anyways, Wanna eat an apple?” Mitsuya asked.

“Sure.” (Y/n) nodded politely.

“Oh, in case you don't remember, which you don't. I'm Mitsuya Takashi and this is Hakkai Shiba.” He said, introducing himself and the man behind him who has been silent.

(Y/n) looked at Hakkai who was looking to the side with a blush on his cheek. It was clear that he was too shy to speak.

“Uh... Hi (Y/n).” Hakkai greeted.

(Y/n) kept on staring at his eyes. His eyes were somewhat familiar. They were a bit droopy like a certain someone's—

“Are you the boy who I was suppose to meet?” (Y/n) asked making Mitsuya and Hakkai exchange confused looks.

“What—”

“Do you remember? We were suppose to meet and then this happened. I forgot some of my memories but I remember you.” (Y/n) said.
