We arrived at a room that was on the west wing. It looked like a meeting room. There was a long mahogany table on the center of the room. The chairs were made of mahogany too. There was a chandelier hanging at the center of the room and the room looked so spacious and just the table and chairs were inside and not much.

Inside, there was a man with his back turned to us. He was wearing a suit. He had a lean back and he was very tall. That height. I know that height.

“Dad?” I softly called. He quickly turned when he heard my voice then he approached me, engulfing me in a hug.

“I'm glad you're safe.” He said with a hint of relief in his voice.

“What are you doing here!? Where's Hakkai?! How is he?! Is he safe?!” I frantically asked, after he pulled out from the hug.

Why is he here? Does he know them? More questions flood inside my head. He cupped my cheeks as he looked into my eyes. He flashed me an assuring smile then he pulled me in a hug again.

“Hakkai is fine.” He replied, patting my back then he pulled out from the hug before turning to Rindo.

“Rindo.” They know each other? I glanced at Dad before turning to Rindo.

“You've... Grown up. It's been years has it?”

Years? Do they know each other? Is Dad part of them? Wait- but he said ‘it's been years’

Questions and more questions began to flood inside my head as I turned my head to Rindo then back to Dad.

Rindo had a cold air around him as he stare into Dad's eyes.

“Let's start the meeting. Mikey's here.” After that, the door swung open and a man with black long sleeve came in. His white hair was parted on the middle and he had black bags under his eyes.

He looked at me intimidatingly. Eyes boring straight into my soul.

I swallowed my saliva as I darted my eyes somewhere, I could feel my sweats on my forehead.

After him was those guys I met earlier. The pink haired weirdo, the man with a black suit, the man who had burgundy and lilac streak just like Rindo. They must be brothers. And the man who had long white hair. There were two man who (I haven't met earlier) came in. Both of them had scars on their faces. The other one had one blind eye and the other one had a scar that ran from his brows to his cheeks. He was smoking. All of them were intimidating, except for the white haired guy who was smiling. He looked kind but I don't trust that smile since that pink haired weirdo smiles too!

Maybe he's a weirdo just like him?!

I pulled Dad forward as I hid behind him, forgetting that Rindo and I were handcuffed together, I pulled him with me. He glared at me then I glared back.

“Dad, What's going on?” I asked. My voice shaking .I tried to buckle my knees. It felt like my knees were starting to get weak.

I sat on the couch, with two bulky man standing behind me. They needed someone to watch over me since they thought that I'd try and escape again. They even handcuffed my ankle so that I wouldn't get away.

I was relieved that Hakkai is just doing fine but what made me confuse was Dad being here. How does he know Rindo? Was Dad a gangster?! I mean, he does look like he could join a gang since he beaten up some people who abducted me before when I put myself in trouble just to see Hakkai.

Sighing, I cast my eyes down. What could they be talking about? Why am I here? Could it be that Dad sold me out?! Well— he wouldn't do that especially not if Mom finds out. She'll beat him to death.

I could hear footsteps approaching making me stand up. I looked at their direction. I was about to run when I remembered my ankle was handcuffed in the couch.

“Dad.” I called. He approached me then he placed his hands on my shoulders.

“Are we going home?” I asked. He shook his head, a sad frown on his face.

“You'll have to stay here for a while. Until everything is fine. They will take care of you. You may not trust them but trust me. They'll never lay their hands on you or hurt you.” Dad assured. I wasn't convince. It made me even more confuse.

“I still don't understand.” I said, my brows knitting as I looked at him.

“Your life is at stake.” Rindo chimed. I turned to him getting even more confuse. “Someone is out there to kill you.” He added.

My heart began to pound, my head was getting light and My hands and feet was getting cold.

“Rindo!” Dad's voice boomed. Rindo turned to him nonchalantly.

“She needs to know. Saying some things like that would make her even more confuse.” He added.

“Wh-Why? Who is it?” I asked, shakily. I don't remember making some enemies. Could it be one of Hakkai's fangirls? It's bad to accuse but maybe he has a crazy stalker.

“We're still... Finding who that is.” Rindo said. I swallowed hard. Tugging Dad's hand.

“Can't I just stay with you?” I asked Dad. He shook his head then he pulled me in a hug.

“I won't be able to protect you. I can't guarantee your safety there. Once everything is fine then you can get out of here. Once we find the culprit you can reunite with Hakkai again. This will be my last visit here. I'll be back here if everything is fine and I'll get you.” He said whilst patting my back then he broke out from the hug.

Reluctantly, I nodded then I turned to the eight men. Flinching when my eyes landed on the man I called ‘Old man’ earlier. He looked so intimidating.

I immediately looked down. Fiddling with the cloth of my dress.

If I have to live here, I might as well have to build a good relationship with them.

“I'm sorry for the way I acted earlier. And for calling you old man.” I apologized. He seemed to be taken aback as he lifted a hand up to the back of his neck, scratching it.

“It's okay. You were just scared. I understand.” He said with a small tint of red on his cheeks.

“Hey, Are you gonna apologize to me?” The pink haired man asked but I didn't mind him.

“Since, I'll be living here. I hope we get along.” I said my voice shaking in fear since they all looked so serious.

“You broke my nose earlier, aren't you gonna apologize?”

“Well, of course we'll get along (Y/n)-chan!” The man who had the same hair color as Rindo said as he winked at me.

“Hello, can you hear me?”

I turned to Dad then back at them. Can I really survive here? What if they kill me? I'll just hope they don't.
