𝙩𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝙞𝙣 𝙢𝙮 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙩 // 𝙟𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙞𝙖𝙝 𝙛𝙞𝙨𝙝𝙚𝙧

[ 𝙨𝙞𝙭𝙩𝙚𝙚𝙣 ]

conrad had gone to bed already but stella wasn't tired yet. she lay awake in her bed restlessly.

"fuck," stella mumbled under her breath. her body felt jittery. she found herself knocking on her wall, checking to see if jeremiah was awake or not.

for fuck's sake, j. please be awake, she thought, squeezing her eyes shut.

after a few seconds, a knock was returned from the other side of the wall. stella gasped quietly and jumped out of bed. she had sweatpants and a small t-shirt on but whatever. it was just jeremiah.

she knocked on his door quietly before opening his door. she saw him pull on a shirt at the last minute. "hey. stel. what's up?" he said, rubbing his eyes awake.

stella's smile dropped. "oh god. you were asleep, were you?"

"no, no, no. you weren't interrupting my sleep." jeremiah let out an awkward laugh. "i- i'm wide awake."

i was actually very much asleep, he thought. thanks, stel.

"j, go back to bed." stella could see right through his terrible lying. "i was just bored and thought you'd be awake."

She disappointedly started backing up towards the door. jeremiah grabbed a handful of his hair stressfully and looked around the room frantically.

no, no, don't leave! he thought.

"hey, now that i'm awake," he said before she could make it out the door. "how 'bout we do something, yeah?"

stella made her way back into the room and shut the door quietly. "like what?"

"a movie? i don't know." he scratched the back of his neck. he hadn't thought this out fully yet.

"i literally have the rest of the snacks from me and daniel's date tonight so that's perfect," she said excitedly, making her way back towards the door to get the snacks from the kitchen.

jeremiah's crooked smile slowly faded from his face. "oh yeah... about that. you're not mad or anything?"

"well, i mean, i was a little, but i feel like i got it all out on connie. we talked, by the way," stella's face brightened at the mention of her and conrad's conversation that they had earlier. "plus, that little prank y'all pulled was funny if you look at it from your perspective, i guess."

jeremiah sighed a sigh of relief. "oh, thank god you're not that mad."

"i could never be mad at you guys." stella smiled on the way out of his room.

"this is not a movie," jeremiah turned his nose up at the sight on the television. he had a tv in his room. 

stella downed another caprisun, adding it to the garbage that they had set up next to the bed. "yeah, but it's better. after tonight, you'll know everything about these two bands."

the two teenagers were sitting comfortably against the headboard in jeremiah's room. jeremiah grabbed a handful of the chips that they were sharing. "which band is this one?"

stella groaned, pointing dramatically at the screen. "this one is 5 seconds of summer. the last one was one direction."

"oh, right," he said with a blank expression. "'cause harry styles is in one direction."

"that's correct," stella sighed.

the video showed the four boys of 5 seconds of summer introducing themselves and each other. calum hood showed up on the screen. he was the bassist of the band and also the one that jeremiah liked the most. "is that the one i said was hot?"

"yes!" stella said excitedly. "you got one right!"

"wait really? okay, okay." jeremiah started getting excited too. this was like a game now. "and his name is... cal... calvin-  cal..."

"you're so close." stella scrunched her nose.

he tilted his head to the side. "is it... cal- calum?"

she nodded proudly. "i'm so proud. yes, it is calum."

jeremiah and stella watched a few more videos of the two bands before accidentally falling asleep during one of them. well, at least, stella had fallen asleep.

jeremiah lay wide awake with her cuddled into his side comfortably. he was still watching the video that stella had put on a while ago. it was a livestream of theirs from 2014. he remembered how she had said that she couldn't pick a favorite but whenever a 5 seconds of summer video would come on, she would nonstop talk about michael.

she had mentioned how her "lane" was michael and her "cheat lane" was calum, but luke and ashton had been hitting different lately. according to stella, jeremiah's "lane" was calum and his "cheat lane" was luke.

whatever that meant, jeremiah thought.

but one thing that he had noticed was how happy it made stella to be introducing her favorite things to him. and he never wanted to forget her smile when he would guess something right in one of the videos.

so i feel like this was more of a filler chapter. like this was really random but like whatever. if this one was boring, please let me know so i can know how to make my filler chapters more entertaining. i mean, i know this one was short and everything, but i just needed jeremiah and stella to see each other after daniel and stella's date, you know? <3
