"DAD, this is ridiculous," Magnolia stated to her father as he took pictures of her standing in front of the high school. "Can you quit?" she asked in annoyance as she watched the teenagers point fingers at her.
"Ignore them, honey," Samuel replied to his daughter before he fiddled with his camera. "I just want a few more pictures...but this thing won't work right."
"Dad!" Magnolia raised her voice at him.
Samuel looked up from the camera and raised an eyebrow at his daughter. "No need for the raise of voice." he stated as he put his camera in the case and walked over to his daughter. "Have a good day, Maggie-B." Samuel kissed his daughter's head and left.
"That was so embarrassing." Magnolia whispered to herself as she ran off to find her first class.
Magnolia spent at least five minutes searching for her English class. She didn't want to ask for help, because she knew she could find it on her own. But time was running out, and the bell was going to ring at any minute.
"You look lost." a teenage boy informed from behind her.
Magnolia turned around and sent him a small smile. "Yeah, it was evident." she stated to him which he replied with a small chuckled.
"I'm Jeremy and I assume you are looking for the Freshman English class." Jeremy tilted his head down at her.
"Maggie, and you are correct. Can you show me where it is?" Magnolia asked him.
Jeremy paused and looked at his surroundings for a moment. "Sure, I'll even walk you. But, you owe me, Maggie."
"I'm not buying drugs from you." Magnolia stated as she started walking away from him.
