"GROUNDED. You got me grounded, Gilbert," Magnolia huffed as she sat on the edge of her friend's bed. "What are you doing?" she asked him as Jeremy typed on his computer.

"Nothing," Jeremy waved her off as he continued typing on his computer. Feeling Magnolia stare, Jeremy sighed. "Do you think vampire are real?" he asked her.

Magnolia paused for a moment as she contemplated an answer. "I think an assortment of things are real. Why are you so nose deep in the subject?" she replied.

Jeremy turned to face her. "I think it's kinda fascinating," he smiled at her before he heard the doorbell ring. "I'll be back." he rolled his eyes as he went to go check who was at the door.

"Maggie! Anna's here!" Jeremy announced from downstairs.

With a heavy roll of her eyes, Magnolia made her way downstairs and waved at the female vampire. "Anna...you're here." she greeted.

"Oh, Magnolia. I didn't know you would be here." Anna awkwardly waved at the girl.

Jeremy chuckled, "Maggie is always here. I'm not allowed to go to her house."

"My dad is...complicated." Magnolia replied.

Jeremy offered the two girls a controller. Anna reached for the pink one but Jeremy moved it away and handed it to Magnolia. "Sorry, Anna, that's Maggie's controller." he apologized.

"It's fine." Anna shrugged it off as the three sat on the couch and prepared to play video games.

"Prepare to lose, Maggie." Jeremy squinted his eyes at her.

"You have never beat me." Magnolia flipped her hair.

"So, uh, Anna. What made you and your mom decided to stay in town?" Jeremy asked as he felt Anna's awkward presence.

"She got this business opportunity. She's gonna open up a little store it's always been her dream. So, yeah, we're staying. And I'm thinking about going back to high school. So, you'll be seeing a lot more of me." Anna smiled at Jeremy as she explained her situation.
