iii. stuck:
"YOU, have been MIA for the past couple of days." Jeremy stated to Magnolia as the both of them walked into the library.
"Yeah, my dad and I were in New Orleans. He said something about my birth family being from there." Magnolia shrugged as she fixed the strap on her backpack.
"Find out something? Or you stuck like you are with the M necklace?" Jeremy asked her.
Magnolia sighed, "Still stuck. My dad won't tell me anything."
Jeremy nodded as he looked down at her before looking at the papers in his hands. "There's a dance coming up...would you like to go with me?" he asked Magnolia as the two checked the bookshelves for the book he needed.
Magnolia paused for a moment. "Sure, I'll go with the dance with you." she answered not thinking much of it.
"As my date." Jeremy clarified before a bunch of books fell onto the floor.
"Oh," Magnolia parted her lips before she bent down to help Jeremy pick up the books. "Sure." she smiled.
"I'm so sorry. There was this one book wedged between the other and I pulled and then kaplunk kaboom. Are you both okay?" the girl apologized which startled the two students, they didn't hear her walking towards them.
Jeremy stood up and helped Magnolia up from the ground. "I'm fine..." he sent her a tight smile before looking at Magnolia. "Are you okay?" he asked her.
"Why wouldn't I be?" Magnolia asked him and Jeremy chuckled.
"I can help you pick up the books." Anna offered as she bent down to help.
Jeremy nodded and helped Anna pick up the rest of the books as Magnolia stood their awkwardly and waited for them to finish.
"I'm Anna." Anna greeted Jeremy.
