Walking through one of the many submerged pools you've come across, you trip and feel a searing sensation in your upper leg. The water around you begins to turn a shade of red, and you feel your eyes getting heavier and heavier. You crawl out of the water using all of your strength to get to the next room, under the hope that someone will be able to help you. You pause for a second, looking at your leg. A share of rusted metal is lodged in your thigh and a lot of blood is coming out of the hole.
Unable to look at it for long you turn back around and reach the door. For a second you feared it wouldn't open, but with a tone it opened and you continued crawling. You noticed it getting harder and harder to stay conscious, and each breath was a struggle. Your sheer willpower was the only reason you made it this far without fainting from the pain, and your willpower begins to falter. Silently, you collapse to the floor, and wait for death to consume you. Instead of seeing deaths face, you see a squid dog looking to you. they grin, and grab you.

Instead of transfuring you, they wrap you in a warm, albeit sticky, embrace. "Are you okay? You look pale." The squid dog asks, and you clear your throat. In a raspy voice, you reply "Yeah, just a flesh wound" and you black out.
When you wake up, you find your only pair of shorts tightly wrapped around your injury, and realize your entirely naked. You look at the squid dog that saved you, and blush from embarrassment. You realize the shard of rusted metal that was in your leg is in their hands and they seem to be inspecting it. Noticing your awake, they put it down and smile. "I see your awake, I hope you don't mind being naked for a little. Don't worry, I'm not going to try anything. I can't say the same about the others though..." they trail off, and you clear your throat to snap them out of it.
"You have no idea how grateful I am that you saved my life. I don't know how I'll ever repay you!" You say, and the squid dog grins. "I think I know where you can start." they say, and pull you into a kiss. For a second You lay frozen, dazed about what just happened. Then, something in your mind just clicks, and You return the kiss. A cold liquid spreads across your face, but you don't notice until it's too late. "Welcome to the family, love."
