Reminder to read the last chap the r if you don't understand for listen to my short recap. Ramona tried to kill Raven but Luna got in the way. Luna got shot and went to the hospital. They came home and Ramona blamed everything on Raven and he goes into his room. As an 8 year old he's extremely upset. He has a panic attack. Crying and trying to not fall apart. He sees a small girl his age in the ground as he sits on the roof.
I looked up at the sound of someone calling my name. A little girl spoke to me from the sidewalk. A flaming voice. I lifted my head up fork where I had been crying before to look down and see her. She was wearing pink with a little flower crown. I hesitated before I climbed down. To see her. To meet her.
"Be careful!" She called to me in worry. I jumped onto the smaller roof and landed down on the ground in front of her. I fixed my hat and gently rubbed my arm as I stared at her.
"Hi..." I spoke softly. My eyes were puffy snd red but I forgot all about that. She was pretty. Really pretty. I couldn't stop looking into her eyes but I forced myself to break eye contact.
"I saw you crying." She pointed out immediately. I clenched my fist before turning away from her again. My eyes were averted to the ground. She was looking around slightly scared.
"Don't worry. Nobody lives out here." I told her.
"My dad told me this was where the bad people lived. The..." she stopped talking as we heard a twig snap from behind her. She whipped around and backed into me slowly. Standing next to me, she was scared.
"Druggies lived. The murderers lived." She whispered. I could see from the way her hands moved that she wanted to hold onto me. Looking around again as another twig snapped, I took her hand and helped her onto my roof. Before she helped me her up. I took her into my bedroom as we both stared out the window as a man came into view. He was wearing all black and I could see the gun in his waist band. I held my breath as she grabbed my hand tighter. We watched as he finally left. I let out a sigh of relief before turning to see her looking around my room.
"Why were you crying?" She asked again. Turning to look at me with a soft expression. I shrugged, not really wanting to answer her.
"It was nothing..." I muttered. I watched her walk around my room being careful with touching anything. She was cautious.
"Sorry!" I said out loud suddenly. She turned towards me in surprise.
"You should probably know my name if your in my room. I'm Raven." She let out a small laugh and smiled. She was cute.
"Little Kelly!" She said excitedly. I froze. The name ringing in my ears. The adrenaline in my veins pumped faster. She seemed to notice that I had stilled. She came over and waved her hand in my face.
"You're King Toms daughter..." I whispered. Her face dropped before she nodded at me. Panic shot though me as I suddenly urged her to the window. I opened it for her, stepping out and taking her hand. I almost helped her down before she yanked her hand back.
"What's wrong?" She asked. She was confused. I sighed again, sitting down on the roof. She follows my lead and at next to me.
"Your father doesn't really...like my family. My mom always hated him. Said she only wants power from him. She said he hates us as well." I told her, before facing her finally.
"So you need to go. You can't be seen with me. Not by my family. Not by yours. Nobody can know about this meeting up. Okay?" I asked her. She nodded at me before I helped her completely off the roof. She hugged me. I held my breath as her arms wrapped around my torso. Her face was buried in my chest.
"Will I see you again?" She whispered. I held her tightly. We had only know each other for 5 minutes but I could tell she liked me. I liked her too.
"I doubt it. Goodbye little-" She cut me off by pulling a small leaf from her flower crown out of it. She placed it in my hair softly.
"Bye Raven." She told me, before disappearing into the beautiful moonlight. I climbed back up the roof and into my room. My heart was fluttering and I felt butterflies in my stomach. I laughed excitedly, spinning around.
"The kings daughter?" I gasped, turning around in fear. Ramona or mom stood at my doorway with a small smirk on her face. She looked angry. Walking towards me, she slapped me in the face. My body hit the wall right next to me as I slid down. My eyes wouldn't meet hers.
"Look at me Raven!" She screamed. I curled myself into a ball tighter before forcing myself to meet her angry stare. She raised her hand again and I flinched.
"If I ever see you with her again, I swear you will have to worry more about what I will do to her than you-" She stopped. Trailing off into thought as she started to pace around my room. I whispered as my hand went to my cheek. Lifting my hand up I saw rhe blood from where she had hit me with her nails. Looking back she was staring at me again. She walked closer before urging me to stand. Slowly I stood infront of me. She paced around me. Before stopping. Her eyes bore into my head.
"When you are 14 I have a task for you." She told me. I nodded my head slowly, trying to take in what I was hearing. She was nodding to herself. In thought.
"Ramona...?" I questioned softly, her eyes shot up as she stared at me. A small smile on her face.
"Slip a potion into the kings food when your 14. If you get sent to jail it's not my problem. But I will become the queen!" She said excitedly. She ever never expressed her emotions. Coming towards me she wrapped her arm around me in a side hug way.
"Think about it. You'll get the best life there. Do this one thing and if you succeed, we'll be the perfect family. The family you've always wanted. Fail...and you'll never see the sunset again. You'll never see the beautiful princess again. You'll never see Brittany again. You'll never see Luna again. Worst of all. You'll never see me again Raven. So please. Succeed for me, your mom." She said with a small smile on her face. Standing next to me in the mirror. She was staring at me as if I was her only hope. I'm a wag I was. I nodded my head. She kissed my forehead, softly. My heart clenched. I looked up into her eyes.
"My sweet boy. We'll be the family you've wanted. Just do this one thing for me." She whispered. I nodded my head. Determination running through me.
"I will!" I declared. Not knowing what I was getting myself into.
"That's my boy."
