Future boy (a saiki x reader fanfic)

The issue

*y/n pov*

Lately things between me and saiki have been a little weird. I don't know what's going on with him but I don't really like it. At first I thought it was kind of cute but now it's starting to not be as much. I was sitting doing my work as Teruhashi came up to me.

"Hey, y/n can we talk after class? I have some work I really need your help with."

Yeah this was definitely a ruse to get me away from saiki. The bell rings for lunch and I stop saiki in the hallway to inform him that I'm not going to be able to eat lunch with him today. He looked so let down and I kind of felt bad but I needed to know what Teruhashi was trying to tell me.

As I walk back into the classroom the door slides closed as I realize it's just me and Teruhashi in here.

"What did you need? Because I know you don't need me for school work."

"Aw, what gave me away? Anyways, I want ti talk to you about saiki."

Jesus what is she thinking this time.

"What are you two? Because I noticed that you've been spending a lot of time together and walking home with eachother, this was basically a ruse to ask if you two were dating or just friends. Sorry for the trouble."

Oh she just thought we were dating. I know saiki doesn't like her like that so it's a simple answer really.

"You know he doesn't like you like that, right? It's easy to tell that you like him but you're too afraid to say anything because of how your fans will react but you have no trouble telling me because I'm simply not a fan. Also you really don't try that hard to hide it. But no, we're not dating. We're just friends. Promise."

I walk out of the classroom and I take one last look at Teruhashi and I see her face is very confused. I chuckle at the thought of the face. She really was pretty but he's ammune to looks so it all comes down to personality and frankly, me and him are the only ones that don't buy into her "perfect pretty girl" act. I don't know why he doesn't believe it but I don't believe it because nobody can be truly perfect.

*time skip*

As me and saiki are walking home we find ourselves joined by a wild Teruhashi. I give her points for trying. But Saiki seems to just be ignoring her. Me and saiki go into our houses and I see Teruhashi's face go from happy to confused and honestly I could watch that all day. I start to walk into my house when I see saiki from his room window signaling to come over.

So I do.

"Hi Mrs.Saiki! Kusuo asked me to come into his room so I just wanted to say hi."

As I head upstairs my mind starts to race thinking about what he would want me for.

As I walk into his room I forget about all of it.

"Sit down." Wow. Don't even say hi I guess. As I sit down I can see saiki with an intense look in his eye.

"So, I've been annoying you?"

"What? No."

"I asked you to come in here so I could tell you something."

"Okay, what?"

"I'm a psychic and I just wanted you to know. I needed to trust you enough before I could tell you though."

"So that's why you've been asking weird?"

"Yeah, sorry. I've just been trying to see if I could rely on you."

"You could've just told me something and see if I tell other people or not you know."

"Yeah I know."

"What powers do you have?"

"What?"

"You said you were a psychic, so what powers do you have."

*time skip because I don't feel like writing that out.*

"And that's basically it. Yeah."

"You said you have a bonk banana?"

"That's not what it's called-"

"Too bad." I interrupted. "Have you ever used that on me?"

"No."

"Would you?"

"Only if you'd of figured it out before I told you."

"Wait is this why you never had many friends growing up?"

"Sometimes I forget how long I've known you."
He says while laughing. It's nice to see him laugh. It's something that I haven't seen in a while. I missed it. He looks great when he laughs.

"I look great when I laugh?"

"I forgot you could hear my thoughts. That feels like an invasion of privacy."

"I can't control it."

"I know."

*saiki pov*

Wow, they are.. something else.

I am going to marry this person.
