the chapter starts with naira sitting at the cafe with a cup of coffee in front of her thinking how would she gather the courage to tell kartik that surgery is the best option..previously when she tried making him agree the conclusion was them separating..what worse can happen questioned naira making herself relieved
While there was someone who was watching her silently from a corner and was concerned,happy and what not. Yes! it was kartik seeing her after a month his heart found an unknown peace, he was worried as to what might be worrying her but promised himself that today he won't raise his voice on her because that's what he is been doing lately...
He walked in while naira who saw him controlled her tears..it was a whole freaking month,30 days,720 hours and he was finally infront of her, before she could get up hoping to hug him, he sat down :(
"kya hua...yahaan kyun bulaya",said kartik
"voh kartik actually...",said naira hesitating;
"voh kya naira bolo",said kartik
"kartik actually i consulted a specialist...i know tum gussa karoge par pehle meri baat sun lena fir jo bol na bol dena, papa ki reports ..if he gets a surgery in 3-5 days, he will be fine recovery rate are 99% and survival chances bhi high hai...surgery ka koyi aisa side effect bhi nahi hai bas weakness hai that's it..trust me kartik this will be the best time if you want even you can consult the doctor",said naira;
"naira firse vohi baat kar rahi ho...he is getting better",said kartik;
"i know kartik par okay...how much time do you think he will get to recover..koi idea hai? nahi na..kartik think about maa...everyday he can't recognise her it hurts her...surgery se recovery toh ho jaayegi na kartik there will be some hope aur ab kairav aur vansh bhi camp se aane vale hai what will you tell them ki unke dadu jo unke saath poore din khelte thai ab nahi kar sakte?",said naira;
"naira kairav ko iske beech mein mat lao",said kartik keeping his volume low;
"i am not dragging them kartik i am just stating the facts...(signs)..tumhein jo sahi lagta hai tum voh karlo tumhare paas reports hai..i gave the suggestion i wanted to..ladt time kahoongi kartik sabki rai leke decision karna",said naira getting up to leave but kartik stopped her by holding her hand;
He indeed had stopped her but he did not knew what to say...to be honest he still did not realised that he had made naira feel like a stranger to him and his family after the accident while naira who was indeed suprised as he stopped her, she wanted him to speak something...to apologise and take away her sorrows but alas!
"agar surgery hoti hai aur papa ko kuch ho jaata hai..fir kya karungi tum?",said kartik while naira made him leave her hand and just said;
"mujhe jo bolna tha maine bol diya hain kartik...vaise bhi i don't think i have any right to say something after this",said naira and went wiping her tears while kartik was just stuck at her last line-'I don't think i have any right to say'
