KAI (CHAPTER 2)

It was him.

His deep brown eyes, his genuine smile, his brown fluffy hair, his ethereal face.... It could make me fall for him all over again.

Tasha laughed, "sure, girl you scored the second highest. I'm pretty sure you're supposed to be chill." Chill- I was supposed to be chill? No. 1 came second highest. Aisha never comes second. Well, at least according to my dad. "No, I was supposed to have the highest marks in class, not second highest. That's practically impossible. I am damn sure there has been a mistake. Who's first?" "Yang kai-" Wait- what? Okay! clearly had no idea who that was. "Yang what-? Who's that?"

"Uh...that's me." A male voice spoke from behind and almost froze. Embarrassing. I quickly covered up saying "And who are you?" The guy raised his eyebrow. "The one who beat you." I scoffed at his audacity. "Do you even know who I am?" He laughed. I'm sorry who did he think he was, "I'm sure you're a human." Saying this he patted my head and walked away. Tasha looked at me and said "competition I suppose. he's cute though." Cute? Great now my best friend found him 'cute". Oh, this guy was so going down. "He's got no idea who he's dealing with." I just blabbered. Tasha looked at me and spoke "Well you are the only girl who literally every guy wants to date in this university but the fact that all the girls are drooling over this guy also beats that fact." noticed this just now. Tasha was right. All the girls were drooling over him. Gross.

Apparently, he had joined mid-way and now he was acing all his classes while doing his internship. Me. Tasha and other students were also doing graduation and internship together but him? He was suspicious. I decided to follow him and bust him if he had any dirty business going on. I told Tasha I had to grab some groceries on the way home so she should go ahead. Tasha agreed and left. I followed this "Kai" to an animal shelter. He waved to girl a little younger than me probably and went inside. I went to the front desk and straight away blabbered "I want to adopt a raccoon." WHAT.THE.FUCK. AISHA.

The woman smiled at me and said "sure, follow me." She took me to an open space behind the small building, Wow, this was literally a small jungle. One of the staff members came up to me said "hi, which animal do you wanna adopt it was the girl Kal waved at. She looked a lot like him so assumed it was his sister, Just then someone called her. She yelled something to Kai who was sitting and caressing a little stray dog. He replied to his possible sister and tumed to me.

He looked surprised to see me too but handled himself. I couldn't though, was going through major mood swings. Tasha excused them and pulled me aside saying "I think we should look for real companies hiring." But there was this sudden stupid urge in me and I said "Don't worry. got this" and walked up to the lady who welcomed us and said "I have some designs ready, do you maybe wanna see them?" At that point I wanted to work there as a volunteer nonetheless of how much leamed because I wanted answers- don't know but sure as hell did not want to leave that place. The lody then introduced herself as Choi Lina and Kai's fiancé, Well, kinda was expecting that. She loved my designs. "Could you maybe get one of these ready by the end of the week? We'll provide with the materials." agreed and looked at Kai who almost pierced his eyes through me. I didn't care. I was gonna make him miserable. Somehow.

The lady excused herself to the washroom while looked at Tasha when suddenly Kai pulled me to a comer a pinned me to the wall saying "You have no idea what you're doing. my dad gets to know that you're working here, you have no idea what he'd do."." couldn't listen to half of it because I was so lost in his eyes. I was going to book a cab when Lina said "Kal can drop you and anyways it's not like he has anything to do at home, I have to work on one of my designs too and by the time he's back! suppose I'll be done." Kai and Li-na both insisted and did not want Li-na to know about what me and kai had so to avoid suspicions agreed.
