"WHAT?" I shouted at my 'mom'. "Kai, don't shout at your mum like that." My dad spoke up from behind. "Mr. and Mrs. Yang, I understand that you are happy and excited about both of us getting married but I suppose we shouldn't rush things like this. What about the arrangements? It's practically impossible to arrange a spot within 24 hours." Li-Na added with an awkward smile. "Oh, don't worry dear, your mother-in-law will handle everything." She said with the fakest smile while playing with Li-Na's hair. "Now, let's see what our daughter has been up to, give your to-be-mom a tour of the little business we have here." She said grinning and left with Li-Na. My parents were the biggest pain in the butt and my scared ass could never confront them because of the power they held. Well, I guess somewhere I blamed myself too for not standing up to my parents. Maybe I would've been with Aisha right now. Wait, AISHA. SHE WAS INSIDE AND MY MOM WAS TOO. "Mom, I wanna talk to you." I ran after her. She couldn't see Aisha, that would risk Aisha's life and I for one wasn't gonna let that happen. She was about to enter the room "Yes?" She turned to me with a stupid look. "I wanted to show you my workplace first." A creepy smile lit up on her face; "Happy to see yourself contributing to the company dear, now come one, show me your big ideas." That was close. It took time but they finally left. Before anything, I ran to my room to find Aisha. She wasn't there but the window was open. She had escaped. Well, I was relieved but not happy. My parents ruined the day for me like they always did.
"Where's Aisha?" Li-Na asked pulling me out of my chain of thoughts. "She......uhm.... she left from the backdoor.... said she didn't wanna ruin our little family meeting." "Oh, okay I guess."

I was trying to sleep but I could just move here and there in my bed. All of this......Me getting married tomorrow.... Aisha re-appearing my life.........This was just too much. I just closed my eye when my phone lit up with the notification sound. It's fucking middle of the night, who would be texting me right now. I looked at phone to check the notification from the lock screen. It was Aisha. My heart started beating faster and I clicked on the notification.
Tell Li-Na I'm sorry I couldn't help her with designs today. Also, I quit.
I'm sure you know why.
Just make up some excuse and tell her.
You're good at it. Making excuses, at least that's what you've been doing all along.
And congratulations on your marriage. Have a happy life
I was just glad she was safe but where'd she get my number? I mean, she wouldn't have it saved from high school, right? Or maybe she did? Does that mean she still likes me? Whatever, it wasn't my business now. My mom made it clear we were either getting married tomorrow or somewhere this week. It was Tuesday today so.... __________________________
