THREE - Something New

(Chapter Three)

You entered the gift shop. Last nights date was so amazing, you learned more about Steven, and he was lovely to be around. So you came to the gift shop to see him....again.

Steven was working so you decided to wait for him. You stood picking at your nails.

You lifted your head after some time had passed, to see Steven looking at you.

He quickly looked down at the ground before his eyes returned to yours. He smiled and waved before you did the same.

You walked up to the counter he was standing behind.

"Hi." You smiled.

"Hey." He smiled back leaning on the counter-

"Stevie!" A woman's voice called.

"My apologies, but I have to go talk to my boss Donna, I'll be.....five minutes." Steven's shoulders slumped.

"Okay." You smiled.

"I'll be right back." He reassured.

"STEVIE!" His boss called again.

"Coming Donna, and it's Steven!" He said rushing to get to her.

You giggled at the sight. You saw them talking but couldn't here what they were talking about, after a Minute or two he looked and pointed at you. His boss looked at you then him with a confused face.

He walked over to you, but now he was carrying a small paper bag. "Ready to go?" Steven asked.

"Go where?" You asked.

"I have an idea, but we have to walk there, if that's okay." He said.

"That's fine, but where are we going?" You looked at the bag in his hands.

"It's a surprise." He gave a sheepish smile.

You started walking to the 'surprise' place, as you walked you talked.

"So your telling me you have never in your life had cherry tea?" Steven said surprised.

"Nope, I've never tried it. Does it taste good?" I asked giggling.

"Does it taste good?" He said sarcastically. "Yes it tastes brilliant! it's the best vegan drink there is!" He gasped with shock on his face as he looked at you and smiled.

"Well I'll have to try it sometime." You said as you looked at each other and laughed.

"Wait are you a vegan?" You asked realizing what he had just said.

"Yeah, I am.Why do you seem so surprised?" He questioned.

"I guess I've just never seen a vegan that's so strong looking." You explained."That sounded really weird, I'm sorry."  You apologized, realizing what you had said.

"Wait, you think I look strong?" He smiled to himself, looking down at his arms.

"No-umm-I mean...yes, if that's ok with you!" You mentally cursed yourself,

"Thank you, Y/n, and that's—that's fine with me." He looked nervously into your eyes while he smiled.

"...Ok." You said as our walk abruptly ended.

"Here we are!" Steven stated as he stared at a bench next to a small lake.

The bench was surrounded by beautiful white flowers and dangling tree branches that made the bench and the area around it very pleasing to look at. The lake had bright green Lilly pads with yellow flowers sticking up around it and a forest behind the lake.
