Family Dinner

This is the same night BTW ;)

You sat on the porch with your dog just thinking about everything, how everything seemed perfect. A nice apartment, an ok family, and the best thing of all you had Steven. You were there for a good thirty minutes petting your old dog till you heard a sound from the front door.

"I'm home!" A voice called out making you jump out in joy, it was your dad's voice.

"Hi Dad!" You said excitedly rushing to the door to hug him.

"Y/n!" He said hugging you back "I missed you." He said as the hug ended.

"I missed you too." You said with a smile on your face.

"Now where is this boy your mom told me about." He said in a playful tone.

"Oh Steven, let me go get him!" you said going up stairs.

You walked into your room closing the door behind you to see Steven sitting on your bed writing in what seemed to be a journal.

"Oh hi, love." He said as you came in.

"Hey, what are you doing?" You asked sitting on the bed with him.

"Okay, I know this is gonna sound silly but I made a list of things I want to do while I'm here and making friends with your sister was on my list so I'm checking it off." He said looking up from the list at you.

"That's not silly that's really sweet." You said kissing his cheek.

He blushed as he looked back at the list.

"I don't want to freak you out but my Dads waiting for you down stairs." You blurted out.

"Blimey!" He said sitting up in the bed.

You giggled as he started pacing around the room nervously. You walked up to him and placed your hands on his forearms so he'd stop pacing.

"Look, Steven he will think your perfect just don't overthink it and be yourself." You said trying to calm him down.

"You think I'm perfect?" He said immediately easing down.

"Yes Steven, of course." You smiled.

You turned him around and patted his back as he opened the door to head down stairs.

"You got this." You whispered trying to encourage him.

As you reached the living room Steven quickly took your hand in his.

"Hi Mr.Y/l/n." Steven gulped.

"You must be Steven!" Your Dad said walking over reaching his hand out. "It's nice to meet you."

"It's nice to meet you too." Steven said shaking his outstretched hand.

Just then the front door opened.

"We are here!" A woman in a jacket with snow all over it said excitedly.

"Rachel!" your mom said rushing out of the kitchen giving her a big hug.

Rachel- your brother's wife- came in with your brother walking in behind her with a small car seat carrying their baby.

"Connor!" you rejoiced hugging your older brother.

"Hey Y/n.........Hey Simon?" He questioned looking at Steven.

"Steven...m-my name is Steven." He replied.

" isn't that what I said. Anyways is dinner ready mom?" Connor said in a very 'CHAD' voice.

"Yes dinners ready, everyone in the kitchen!" Your Mom called leading the way.
