There was still no sign of the purple robed person returning. Apparently he'd scared them off.
Once it felt safe enough to do so, Dax peeled himself back up off of the floor using the bed as leverage. Standing up slowly, carefully leaning over the bed in case he passed out meant that he no longer felt like he was going to pass out. Dax decided whilst he was waiting that it would be a good idea to take a little wander around the room. There were a lot of interesting things to see in here that he hadn't really been able to get a good look at yet.
He was walking a little bandy legged like a baby deer struggling to find its feet but walking was walking. To be safe and help himself support his body weight a little with his arms, Dax decided to use the bed and furniture in the room to cruise around to prevent making another unexpected visit with the floor.
There were a few cupboards that he could open but there was nothing interesting inside of them, only more clothing and fresh blankets. It took some self restraint not to stroke all of the fabric, it looked very soft and comfortable.
On a shelf in the corner, were an interesting collection of shells in a large shallow glass bowl. They were so big and brightly coloured that it was easy to mistake them for plastic replicas but as he picked one up, Dax was surprised by its lightweight. Looking closely you could see the lines on the shell that denoted the animal's growth and the inside gleamed with the oily sheen of mother of pearl.
There were other various knick-knacks dotted around and a painting of a field filled with ripened grain and wildflowers that hung between two bookcases.
A nice detail to add to the room of a grain deity it didn't go unnoticed.
The quick trip around the room drained what little energy that he had managed to recoup from his short stint laying on the floor. Dax lost the grip that he had on the cupboard and just felt his legs collapsing under him with all the supportive strength of wet spaghetti.
Someone grabbed him under the armpits before he could crash onto the floor and knock himself out on the corner of a bookcase.
'I'm practically one with the floor at this point.' Dax thought, a chuckle almost escaping from between his lips.
It was almost as funny as it was depressing.
The person holding him's grip was tentative as if they were expecting him to break like a crystal vase or an overripe soft fruit. Or they were expecting a violent response which given that he had screamed at the last person that tried to touch him Dax didn't blame them.
Either way he was just happy he wasn't having a panic attack again.
"Thanks." He said brightly as they helped him back over to the bed. As they rearranged the myriad pillows behind him he managed to get a look at their face. Dax had expected that it would be the purple robed person from earlier, instead it was an incredibly jacked looking guy.
"Reuniting with the God of War. + 150 Points." System announced as it rolled out yet another flashing graphic of the points he had just accrued. Dax looked at the message and then at the God of War's face back and forth rapidly concerned that he had heard the declaration or could see his reward message. The God's face remained concerned but he showed no inkling that he was party to the interaction between Dax and the System.
"Only you can hear or see The System." It explained, closing the flashing window.
This was good news at least Dax didn't have to explain why he was talking to an orb.
