A young woman was baking a pie. Baking wasn't one of her favourite activities, but eating what she baked certainly was. Especially when the ingredients are all from either her garden or bought from her friendly neighbors.

Mucho would be coming over later, with his friend that was totally his girlfriend but he was too shy to confess.

I mean - who takes 'just a friend' to visit a person that is basically your sister, and lives almost three full hours away?

Ginger was sitting on the windowsill in the living room while Layla was out in the fields to play with the neighbors cat.

Both kitties were living the best life here.

Sometimes you wonder how Haruchiyo is doing. He sends you a letter or package once every two or three weeks. You never know what address to send one back to. And you never know if what he writes is true or false.

The letters are always about five to six pages long and a lot of the times you feel like he's just bullshiting you. Why can't he just come over to visit for once? Coward. Is it that hard for him to face you?

It's been over three years since you've last seen his face.

Him being by Mikey is probably true, but you'd be stupid to believe that he's working as a car salesman.

Couldn't he have lied more believably? Like a butcher or loan shark or something. You'd believe him then.

Mucho is working as a bartender on the outskirts of Tokyo, that's were he met his 'friend' two years ago. She was out because she was lonely and wanted to mingle with others.

So when she met a friendly, tall and handsome man, of course she tried her chances. It's only been going uphill from then on. You always see them hanging out on their Instagram stories.

You don't really work, but you sell some veggies and fruits at the market every weekend for some extra cash. But even without that, you'd be able to live normally.

You still have a lot of money left over from your teens and Haruchiyo sometimes sends you some, even if it's unnecessary.

Thankfully 'teen you' had a brain and saved a lot of money instead of spending it.

'Teen you' did a lot of things right. You still have a good amount of friends, still have enough money to go by, you experienced shit and learned.

You don't have many regrets, the only ones being, not trying hard enough to save them. You're the oldest, why didn't you help them go down the right path? Why weren't you just fucking harsh enough?

Why didn't you tell them to stop early enough?

Before you could ponder about your past mistakes longer, a knock sounded on the door. Muto was here.
