"Cassie!" Eric greeted once the Burnette came into sight. Walking over to the group, she noticed a flyer in the male's hand. With a grin on his face, he shoved the flyer into Cassie's hand once she was in arm's reach.

"Monte Carlo?" Jessica read out loud, when he handed her one too. "That's our prom theme?"

"Yup!" Eric answered proudly. "Gambling, tuxedos, and bond.....James Bond." He replied, winking at Cassie, making her laugh. She shoved the flyer into her backpack, even though she had no plan of attending.

"Soooo." Angela said, looking at Cassie. "You and Jasper?"

"There's nothing going on." Cassie dismissed. "I mean, I like him, but I doubt he likes me more than a friend."

"A friend?" Angela asked, looking at her like she was crazy. " Girl, he had his arm around you the other night!"

Cassie laughed awkwardly, "It's....complicated."

"Well, looks like Bella made a move."

Cassie turned and saw Bella climbing out of Edward's Volvo. "Well that's new." Cassie mumbled to herself, watching Edward wrap an arm around Bella.

"I guess that's new too." Jessica said, motioning behind Cassie. Turning, the brunette saw Jasper approaching the group, his eyes on Cassie. He offered a polite nod, but the group just stared in shock. Angela offered a smile back, while the boys just scowled as if he just walked onto enemy soil.

Jasper felt the annoyance and jealousy that waved off the group, but he just ignored it. Instead, he just placed his hand on Cassie's back, and lead her away from the group.

"I don't think they like me." He joked, looking down at Cassie.

"Not totally, Angela likes you." Cassie defended.

Jasper's lips twitched slightly. "Yeah, but she seems to be the only decent friend you have. Besides Bella."

Cassie chuckled, "Yeah, but.... They just don't understand you, or your family."

Jasper nodded. Most people don't like the Cullens just because they seem different. "Your right, I guess." He responded, as Cassie shoved her backpack into her locker. "Except.. There is one thing you are wrong about."

Cassie smirked, turning to Jasper, "And what would that be?" She asked, crossing her arms, smugly.

"That I don't like you more than a friend."

Cassie's smirk turned into an embarrassed frown, a deep blush forming on her cheeks. "So you heard that?" She asked, grabbing her books from the locker.

"You don't have to be embarrassed, Darlin'" He said, his accent making Cassie melt. "I just thought you should know, you were wrong. I cherish you, Cassandra."

Cassie smiled shyly, wrapping her arms around Jasper's, walking towards her class. Though, there was a small ping out doubt in the back of her mind. In Cassie's mind, she was nothing special. She had average grades, average personality, and also, average looks. She could never understand why someone like Jasper, who could get any girl he wanted, chose her.
