At Havenfield:
Sophie was laying on her bed, staring at the ceiling, just remembering the events that recently happened at the Celestial Festival. What if? was running through her head.
A bright flash startled her, then in a well-lit comfy room was an assortment of allies past and present.
"Sophie?!!"
"Foster?"
"Who?"
"Oh, why me..."
At a Neverseen hideout:
Tam was contemplating his existence and choices. Being a twin wasn't his choice, but an honor he wore proudly. Then being banished, well, at least he still had Linh. Even befriending Sophie, he was fine. Pushing the limits, but fine. Then they destroyed a city and he began questioning their sanity. His opinion on their mental stability only got lower as he continued to see their lack of self-preservation. Has anyone considered getting them a therapist? He, even thinking that they're all insane, remained. But then Linh started acting that way too! That's when he realized with a sense of horror, he had done it. A group of overpowered kids ended up taking what banishment couldn't, his sanity. He had become a self-sacrificing idiot! Oh no, nope, no way in Linh's mushroom patch is he allowing this to continue!! He is in way too deep. For goodness sake, he is in a NEVERSEEN HIDEOUT.
RIP Tam's Sanity
You had a good few years.
A life taken far too soon.
A bright flash overcame him.
"Oh why me..." He sighed as he viewed the others.
At Everglen:
The mood was one of somber victory. They won in a way, but at what cost? Dex sat slumped in a chair whilst Keefe and Ro were conversing quietly. The others were in various positions on the floor, tensed up as if awaiting something new to happen.
A bright flash engulfed the rooms occupants.
"Sophie?!!"
"Foster?"
"Who?"
"Oh, why me..."
From their positions in the past:
Mr. Forkle, Bronte , Kenric, Oralie, Edaline, Grady, Alden, and Della see a bright flash before seeing children and... Is that an ogre?
"Sophie?!!"
"Foster?"
"Who?"
"Oh, why me..."
In an undisclosed location:
All of the necessary figures were in the room.
The room was, for lack of a better word, nice.
It was bright and well lit, in shades of white and grey. There were couches and chairs in shades of light grey with a large assortment of pillows. In the center of the room there was a table with a box of books and a note on top.
"Well, that settles it. Who would like to read first?" Mr. Forkle announced after reading aloud the note and introductions were made.
"I'll do it."Biana volunteered.
"Keepers of the Lost Cities, Preface..."
