[Epilogue, suggested by @nebulaprincess thanks to a picture of a man in a swan costume]

Legolas walked just outside the palace of Mirkwood with an elvish maiden. He was hoping to win her heart, but at the same time he didn't think he was ready for a relationship with her. They had only met a week ago, which was around a month after Tauriel eloped with the dwarf.

Suddenly there was a rustling in the bushes.

Legolas gripped his sword and stepped in front of Irina, his "maiden".

"Ssh." came a voice that sounded exactly like Thranduil's. "I'm not here."

The elven prince rolled his eyes. "Ada, are you spying on me again?"

"No. I mean, who's ada?"

Irina excused herself and awkwardly went away. Legolas angrily turned to the bushes. "Ada! What are you doing?!"

Thranduil stepped out, wearing a swan outfit. "I did not mean to interrupt you, my son."

"I already told you I'm over Tauriel. You don't need to be so worried all the time."

The elven King laughed. "What makes you think I'm worried?"

"Well you've been following me ever since I told you I was over Tauriel. It's as if you don't believe me."

"But I don't believe you." he replied. "You're weak."

"Ada. Go away."

Thranduil adjusted his costume and walked away, sulking. "Fine. But I want you to know that I don't like Irina."

"Because she isn't Tauriel?"

"No. Because she's an ordinary silvan elf. Also known as a peasant."
