"Into the fray fuckfaces." Aniya exclaimed obnoxiously, bounding ahead of them towards the front door of the house. It was of decent size and not too many neighbors, the front lawn already littered with many teenagers holding onto solo cups. Some shot Aniya amused expressions but she didn't seem to noticed, crashing through the front door as the muffled party music became loud and clear.

Aniya had a little more liquor at the house than the rest of us.

We weren't too far behind, the door left wide open, courtesy of Aniya. Lights flashed and flickered, a familiar song booming from the speakers placed right about everywhere. Loads of people danced and talked around the rooms of the house, the place already stinking of booze and nic. I could smell that skunk like odor as well, pungent on my sensitive nose.

"Didn't this party just start." I chuckled, scrunching up my nose as the sharp smell attacked my enhanced senses.

"They move quickly." Griffin replied before darting after Aniya who was already speaking with some strangers at the drink table. The same as an intimidating chaperone, eyes always trained on her drink. Aniya could usually handle herself but there's always danger when she's drunk out of her mind. I usually looked after Nora but she was always a responsible individual, keeping her drink in hand at all times.

"Ok, well I'm gonna go off alone as well." Nora announced, straightening her baby blue skirt that fell mid thigh. Her tight white shirt going nicely with the blue and her golden jewelry, all but glistening in the lights above.

"Let me go wi-" I insisted worriedly, stepping forward as she raised a dismissive hand.

"I don't plan on drinking while I'm alone, and I want to talk to Seth...By myself ."

"Didn't he cheat?" I scoffed over the music.

"We were never together, but maybe.." She trailed off while a mischievous smile tugged at her lips, near-black eyes twinkling.

I wasn't able to get another word in before she near-bolted towards the boy who she was always giggling about, Seth. He was already grinning at her like a Cheshire Cat from where he leaned against a mainly vacant wall, save for a pair of random people making out. Romantic.

My eyes flitted around to find acquaintances or guys from my team at school but found something much better. Or someone. Alex stood while a bunch of human girls flocked around him, laughing at whatever he said with his soft voice that let out his own angelic laugh from time to time. I could only stare before finally moving my legs to walk over to him. I quietly slung an arm around his shoulders, looking towards him as my nose nearly grazed the brunette hair on his head. The giggles of the girls around us made me turn away from him, only to find keen eyes dragging my attention back.

"Hi Alex." I greeted dumbly, watching his lips spread into a sweet smile.

"Hey Az." He responded, his eyes flicking behind me and around before returning back to meet my own.

"What're you doing here?"Alex inquired casually, stepping from my hold as a girl silently handed him back his drink. I stared at my abandoned arm, the warmth of him disappearing. I shook off my puzzlement, clearing my throat.

"You know I'm at all of these events, can't stop all the invites from Benny." I hummed, overly arrogant to portray my sarcasm.

Alex only laughed, sipping from his solo cup as his eyes trailed behind me once more. I felt my brows furrow as I followed his persistent gaze, finding the source of his attentions. Wren Brooke stood tall, Trent not far behind as Ani was once again attached to him like a leech. An arm constantly wrapped around his forearm. Wren was dressed in black cargos with a baggy navy blue shirt, a small gold chain glinting from beneath the neckline. Revealing that he had no shirt on beneath.
