20. Outside Encounters

2nd Person POV:
"Bo? Hm, never heard of him," you tell Stu. "Is he nice?" Stu pauses. "..yeah, sure. Just, be careful around him. He tends to be quite irritable at times." You nod slowly, beginning to feel concerned. You shake away the feeling quickly. I'll be fine. Stu's with me. And not everyone I meet is going to be some mass murderer, so I can relax.

Once you and Stu get to the front door, Stu peeks through the window. You do too, only seeing an empty shop. The lights in the shop are turned off too.

Stu goes to knock on the door, but before he does, a voice calls out, "Do you two need somethin'?" You and Stu quickly turn around to see a man. He's wearing a dirtied cap and dark blue dress shirt. His hair is dark brown and slightly ruffled. You look at Stu, and back at the man. "Yeah. I need a chainsaw. I was wondering if you have one," you explain. The man slowly nods. "Yeah.. follow me." You look at Stu with a smile. Stu gives a concerned, yet happy grin back.

1st Person POV (Stu):
As I follow Y/n, I realise that she's always been so gullible. For example, right now. I can't believe she's just casually following Bo around. I mean- I did bring her here, but she doesn't seem a little on edge with this guy?

As we continue walking, I notice that Bo keeps looking back at her. His eyes are full of curiosity as he gawks at her, and it makes my blood boil. When Bo catches me staring he gives me a dirty look. I wrinkle my nose at him and wrap my arm around Y/n's shoulder. She stares up at me with a smile. She's just so cute.

When me and Bo make eye contact, I can tell that he definitely recognizes me. This wasn't a good idea to bring her here. But now she won't want to back out. I'll have to try and convince her to leave so that Bo doesn't get any ideas.

2nd Person POV (Y/n):
Bo brings you and Stu into a garage. He leads you towards a wall of tools. Bo then picks up a large, red chainsaw. The paint on it is a bit chipped, but other than that it's still in good condition. He lifts it up and down a bit to check the size before handing it to you. You take it. "Thank you," you tell him with a smile. You gently put the chainsaw on the ground and pull out your wallet. You go to pull out some cash when Bo asks you something. "What's a young lady like you needin' a chainsaw for?" he asks. You pause. "Just for a friend of mine," you lie with a half smile. The man nods, knowing that you're lying to him.

"What's your name?" The man continues to ask more questions. You look at him. "My name's Y/n. And you?" He gives you a small smile. "Bo." You beam. "Well, nice to meet you, Bo," you tell him with a small giggle. "You too," he replies. You notice Stu beginning to feel aggravated with Bo, so you try and hurry things up.

Before Bo can ask you any more questions, you ask him, "How much do you want for it?" He grins. "Free of charge for you," he says. You tilt your head a bit. "Really? Are you sure? I can give you a $50," you tell him, holding out the money. He shakes his head. With a chuckle, he tells you, "No need." You pout a bit. "At least a $20? I'll feel bad if I leave you empty handed," you insist. He shakes his head again. "It's quite all right." You shake your head, shoving $20 into his hand. The man sighs, and with a laugh, says, "You're one stubborn girl." You shrug with a smile.

You then feel a tug on your shirt. Turning, you see Stu looking at you with the, let's go now, eyes. You give him a small nod before turning back to the man.

"I really got to go now. I have work I still need to do and stuff, so..." "No, no it's fine. I understand," the man assures you, his jaw clenched as he looks at Stu. He looks at you and says, "Make sure to come back sometime." You nod. "I will..!"

You pick up the chainsaw, struggling a bit. The man goes to help you, but Stu already beat him to it. "I got it," Stu tells the man as a way to say, Back off.
