Chapter 1: Into the Wild

I walk into the Gilbert house and I see Tyler right next to the dead body of Kol. Kol is an original vampire. Kol is also Klaus's brother that Jeremy Gilbert killed. "Your still here? What are you doing?" I ask Tyler. "Gloating" says Tyler. Then I see him, Klaus.

Apparently Bonnie, my best friend that is a very powerful witch, created some type of force field that kept him from leaving the living room. It also seemed like the only thing that kept him from killing Tyler.

"Hello Caroline" klaus says. I choose to ignore Klaus and speak to Tyler instead. "Come home don't stoop to his level" I say frustrated. "He destroyed my life. I plan on being present for every second of his misery until I can kill him myself" Tyler says with an equal amount of anger and passion.

Klaus just gives Tyler a dirty look. "Fine you can gloat and multi task" I say to Tyler. This place is a disaster starting with the horrific burnt corpse of Kol. I get Tyler to help me wrap up the corpse. As we finish wrapping up the corpse Klaus says solemnly "Tyler's mother is dead so is my brother we are even. Call Bonnie get her to let me out of here." Suddenly angered by his perception of "even" I say to him "I will never ever help you."

If looks could kill i'd be dead. Klaus just stares at me and then says, "how quickly you forget the part where I saved Tyler from the misery of being a werewolf. Or the night your mother invited me into your home to save the life of her precious daughter." Before I was mad now I'm pissed. "How delusional are you? You killed his mother. Let's not forget we are standing. In the house where Elena's Aunt Jenna used to live. Or did you think that your charm would make us forget that you killed her too?" I ask with disdain and disgust evident in my voice. I stop myself before I say anything else.

I'm right next to the barrier. Where Klaus can't go through when I look at him in the eye and say "I am not going to engage in this you are not even worth the calories I burn talking to you". Just as I begin to walk away from the barrier I feel a piercing pain.

I scream out. Klaus stabbed me with a lamp and pulled me into the barrier that separates him from us.

"NO" Tyler screams out. Then Klaus pulls out his werewolf fangs bites me and let's me go. I fall to the ground.

A werewolf bite is deadly to a vampire. One bite is all it take and it's only a matter of time before the vampire dies. There is only one cure for a vampire that has received a werewolf bite. Klaus's blood since Klaus is the original hybrid.

"Now that was definitely worth the calories", Klaus says with a devilish smile with blood smeared all over his face.

I crawl out of the room and am freaking out. I know I only have hours to live. Tyler pulls me into his arms and says he can fix this.

"How?" I ask in full panic mode. "The only thing that could fix this is his blood." I say looking at Klaus with hate. "I know I'll fix it" Tyler says with so much confidence that I almost believe him.

"She'll die if you don't heal her" Tyler says to Klaus desperately. "Okay" Klaus says while drawing blood from his skin. "Beg me to save her life" he says. "IS THIS WHAT YOU WANT?" Tyler says to Klaus with such fury. "To remind us that we are powerless against you? Fine you win. I am nothing. Now save her please." Tyler says with an equal amount of desperation and anger.

Klaus mocks Tyler by saying he didn't quit catch that in a mocking tone. Tyler continues begging Klaus to save my life until Klaus says, "See now I think your just telling me what I want to hear. I mean you did call me pathetic earlier and wouldn't it be more pathetic of me to help now, knowing that hours ago you announced your plan to kill me in a manner in which your still debating because you wanted it to have a certain amount of flare." "I'll be your slave again" Tyler says sadly to Klaus. "I'll do whatever you want. Just help her", Tyler begs. Klaus pretends to think it over for a minute and then says no. Taking away all my hope for survival.
