After shopping, I was completely drained of energy.

The dress was in the theme range. It was white and puffy. Long but still cute. The top of the dress has pretty lace along where my boobies are.

I don't know why but ever since I've known the word 'breasts', it makes me cringe so bad. Like the word moist. It's just weird, like why?

I get full body chills and shake the thought away.

A knock on my door managed to get me off of my bed.

"I don't feel like talking-" I look up and see Kai. Wait. Kai?

I rub my eyes and look up again. "Kai!" I jump up and wrap my arms around his neck and hug him. But...he doesn't hug me back.

I pull back and look up at him, "What's wrong?" He's not looking me in the eyes. He's looking somewhere else on my face.

He grabbed my hips and pushed me into my room, far enough for him to come in, and kicks the door closed.

"What happened here?" He said while running a finger along my cheekbone.

I slightly wince, "I fell off my bed this morning and hit my face with the corner of my nightstand." I manage a laugh, it was anything but real.

"What happened, Vera?" He stepped forward and I fought the urge to step back.

"I told you I-" he grabbed my jaw lightly, making me look away.

"Are you really going to lie to me? Seriously?" Kai dropped my face and I looked at the ground, feeling tears sting my eyes.

"It was nothing. Just an accident." I shrug and turn around to walk back to my bed but I get pulled back.

"It wasn't a fucking accident, he hit you! I know it. And I wasn't here. I should've been here!" He lets go of my arm and runs his hands through his hair.

"It's over with now, he won't do it again. He was just angry." I try to make him understand but he just gets more upset.

"I know he's your dad and I know he has been nothing but good to you, but you don't hit your daughter. Not even when you're angry. He controls his emotions and actions. It wasn't an accident." He looks right in my eyes, searching for something.

"I- I don't want to talk about this right now. It's been a long day and all I wanna do is take a long nap. K? K." As I turn around to walk towards my bed a tear escapes my eye and I wipe it away, quick.

I lay down in my bed and turn off the lamp on my nightstand. When I close my eyes I feel the spot next to me dip down.

"Please don't be mad at me. I want to kill him. But I won't." A minute of silence goes by. "Vera. Look at me."

With that, I let out a sigh and turn my body to face him.

"There's my beautiful girl." He moves my hair out of my face and cups my cheek with his hand.

"I've missed you so much." I laugh but it's quickly replaced with a sob. I throw my arms around his neck and hold him in my arms.

I feel his big arms snake across my lower back. He moves, now laying on his back with me on top of him.

It's a little dark but the moonlight makes it easier to see the curve of a smile on his face. His dimples.

Kai slides his hands over the curves of my body and stops at the back of my neck to pull me down for a kiss. But it was more than a kiss. It was as if he was hungry.
