Off Limits

Chapter 21

Mando tilt his head to each side and felt his neck crack. He leaned back to look at his handy work. It didn't take long for him to fix the T-70 that was shot at by the First Order. A pang of sadness filled his heart as he thought of his ship, the Razor Crest. It was such a long time ago. His ship blowing up by a single shot from Mott Gideon's light cruiser during a shoot out on Tython. He ignore the thoughts of Grogu trying to come to the surface. He missed the kid badly, the last time he saw him was when he was on Tatooine hunting a bounty that thought it was a good idea to try and cheat at one of the casino's in the city of Canto Bight on Cantonica. Peli Motto was watching Grogu, the kid he was told was playing with his sliver ball. Peli was yelling at one of her worker droids not near the kid when Fennce Shands knocked her out by taking a wrench and hitting her on the back of the head. She used a EMP bomb to disable the three worker droids. Mean while Boba Fett went looking for Grogu. When he found him, Grogu knew something was wrong. He started to force choked Boba. Fennec rushes in and uses a tranquilizer dart to knock out the kid. Mando got his bounty who was begging him to not take him in. He ignored him as he pulled him out of the run down hotel room that was on the third floor. The hotel owner at first would not help him out but after giving the guy a nice pile of credits he changed him tune. After he slapped the cuffs on his bounty he got a urgent message from Peli, what she said made his blood run cold. The child was missing. Mando remembered knocking his bounty out and hurrying to his speeder. With the bounty securely on, he raced back to Peli. At the time he had no idea who kidnapped the kid. Peli was in a worst mood after he secured his bounty in carbonite that Peli had rigged up for him at her shop. The camera's she had were shut off, whoever the kidnappers were. They knew what they were doing. He tried to contact Greef Karga and Cara Dune. But no such luck. He hoped his luck with Boba Fett would be better. Luckily for him Boba Fett was on Tatooine. He heard he took over Jabba's Palace. Peli was trying to turn her worker droids on when Mando decided to just go to Boba.

A short ride on his speeder, he was in front of the old palace of Jabba. After telling the droids eye that popped out of the door who he was, the door opened. He found Boba in a throne like chair with Fennec behind him. After the hello's he told them what happened. He asked them if he could help him get the kid back. Boba stays silent for a bit and shakes his head that he can't. Boba stood up and approached Mando. Mando remembers asking him why he couldn't. Fennec walked to Boba and stood beside him. Boba seemed hesistate before he dropped a bombshell on him. He told Mando with the help of Fennec that he kidnapped the child. Mando thought Boba was kidding but the look on his face told him that he was serious. Mando's blood boiled as he demanded to know why he kidnapped Grogu and were he was. Boba turned away from Mando and started to climb the steps back to this throne.

Boba not answering him made him more upset and he whipped out his blaster and pointed at Boba. Fennec drawed her's and pointed it at Mando. Boba turned his head and looked at him. He told Fennec to lower the weapon. Mando still demanded answers from him and Boba sighed. He told him he couldn't. Next thing Mando knew him and Boba was fighting. Fennec watched from were she still stood. Somehow Boba got the better of him and knocked the blaster from Mando's hand and kicked him down. He fell on his back and raised his arm to use the flame thrower but Boba stepped on his arm then his other arm. Mando looked up at Boba who was suppose to be his friend. Out of breath Boba bent down and pulled Mando's helmet off and tossed it to the side. The other Mandolarin looked down at Mando with a sad expression. He apologized to Mando and punched him in the face. Mando was met with darkness.
