A siren yet again pierced my peaceful sleep, bringing me back to the current world and away from the land of dreams.
Sitting upright in bed, a voice spoke quickly in a heavy accent.
"Please- evacuate now... All military... Needed-" It cut out suddenly with a loud, panicked knocking appearing at my bedroom door.
Grabbing a hair tie and pulling the sweet pink locks into a hasty ponytail, I dashed to open the door, the high-tech suit still plastered to my body.
There stood a flustered Tors, who said nothing and grabbed my arm and began to run.
What was happening? Was I being evacuated?
"No... Time to... Explain... Need to... Kill attackers..." Short bursts of speech came as we ran, and eventually entered a control room of sorts.
Around a table gathered a large group of people: commanders, group leaders, and basically anyone to do with leadership.
Hasty plans were being finalised, stress was written on every person's face.
"We will have to have an ambush somewhere, otherwise the city will be taken. I say Fae, Karu and Lance make up a small party, and we will most likely need a distraction to stop the Firos invasion. The rest of you, on the guns and turrets. Tors, you come with me. Let's go people!"

A flurry of movement indicated the meeting over, and suddenly I was being pulled out by an unknown man.
"Just to be quick. My name is Lance, a specialist in combat. Now quick, we have a Firos clan to eradicate."

Karu, Lance and I began to run down hallways and stairs, eventually arriving outside the massive palace. I had never stepped foot out of this building before, so a range of senses flooded me.
Something that smelt like sweet bark was wafting in the air, and a charred sight met my eyes. They were right, this threat wasn't far off destroying everything.

Weaving between buildings, and jumping over street scum, we reached the centre of the town where screams filled the air instead of the normal buzzing of everyday conversations. A large monster of sorts, its appearance a blob dripping in molten hot lava.
Lance spun around to me, drawing his sword from the scabbard dangling at his waist.
"I'll distract it, you have to hit its weak spot - top of the head. Karu, focus on Fae. If I get knocked down, still keep focus on Fae, got it?"

The sword he now carried wasn't any ordinary sword. It was a blade that glowed blue with the colour of Lance's eyes.
"Go go go!"

The action unfurled and I was running. How did my legs even get like this, how could I even fight?
Screams echoed around me until all went silent, all stopped.
The new world that surrounded me had a futuristic tinge that enveloped me suddenly. An enormous shape loomed above me, glowing red with anger and hatred.
A scream cut the air like a katana cut through flesh.
The shape suddenly faded, as did my consciousness.
