He stood in front of me, a smirk glued to his face.
"Let's see what you can do then."
Xeos shot into the air, his wings propelling him up to the ceiling.
Confident, I shut my eyes, and shot my arms out either side.
"Fae, I told you that strategy doesn't wo-" He was pushed backwards by the invisible barrier of my defense stance, his face portraying a mask of surprise.
Catching him off guard, a series of flips allowed me perfect accuracy for a shot at his wing. Closing my eyes, the surroundings turned into a techno blue area where Xeos was a figure shown in thermal colours.Focusing, I took control of a ranged stance, summoning a shape that appeared to be a bow.
Three arrows shot off in the direction of him, but stopped in mid-air, turned, and shot back towards me.One landed on either side of me, detonating on impact. The third still whizzed towards my face, almost buzzing with its speed.
I jumped, bow still in hand, propelling myself up with light steps - a new power that had been discovered. Thin discs of light formed in air for me to step on.
The arrow exploded beneath me, meaning a leap was all I would be able to pull off.
Three more arrows shot off before there was no more that could be done, and I had to land.Standing with a heaving chest, I watched Xeos land in front of me.
He drew a single breath, before smiling.
"That was very well done, Fae. I'm exhausted."
A breathless laugh escaped me. "You are barely even sweating, what do you mean by exhausted?"
He just smirked back. "Training with Tors in 30."Remembering, I left the training centre, not noticing as the colour of my eyes changed back to originality.
