Zhongli x Childe (Oneshot book)

I opened the box, it contained a withering flower and a letter, I picked up the flower and the letter pushing the box aside.

I held the flower tightly as I opened the letter.

Dear Zhongli, If you're reading this then I probably died in the war.
I wanted to send you this Glaze lily I found while roaming around Liyue
I wanted it to be sent to you as a last goodbye if it ever came down to it
Please use some geo on it, it should bloom once more.

Some words seemed to be smudged away..

I am writing this now once more as healthy as can be, it's been a while.
Wondering how I'm still alive? Or at least alive? Well it's quite a long story.
But! The Tsaritsa found me on the battlefield after the war was over and peserved my body in her ice.
Then she did her magic (She hasn't told me what exactly she did) And I came back! Which I don't think is possible,
but here I am!
Well I just wanted to say I hope you've been doing well.
It's alright if you've moved on already but I just want you to know I love you so much.
I do not know where you are right now but I hope we can meet once more.

I started to shake as I fell to my knees, happiness and longing resurfaced in my body as tears started to stream down my cheeks "He's alive!" I sobbed, 3,000 years have I waited for him to return and he finally has.

A few minutes pass and I finally manage to collect myself and get up off the floor, with a few tears remaining my eyes were red and puffy.

I picked up the withering Glaze Lily and put some Geo into it

The flower bloomed beautifly

Tears seemed to fall once more as I gently held it to my chest. I had felt so cold over these past years but this single Glaze Lily brought the warmth I've been longing for.

I held it close I didn't ever want to let go. Not ever again.

But it'd wither once more. Just like every mortal life will. I held it away from my chest staring at it. I placed it on my counter and rummaged through my storage room looking for a vase and some flower food.

I found both, I brought them out to the counter only leaving the flower food after I finished filling up the vase with water I brought the vase back to the counter and added some flower food into the water, I stirred it gently and put the flower in the small vase.

I picked the vase up and put it on my nightstand, I will protect it with my life.

My gaze turned over to my glaze lily garden. Glaze lilies have already gone extinct in the outside world and only my garden was left, I glanced over at them before I went to bed

It had only been 4:53 PM but I was so very exhausted.

I can't write sad shit for the life of me but next part is gonna be fun
