The giant gold-trimmed door opened in front of Aubrey. The intoxicating atmosphere of the ball almost slapped her in the face. He entered, where she was immediately stopped by a guard.

- May I see your invitation? – The guard asked in his deep, hollow voice.

- Y-Yes, of course... - Aubrey nervously searched in the pocket of her dress. She was afraid that the truth would come out somehow, even though it was almost impossible because of the schizo dust. In less than a minute, she found the invitation and handed it to the guard with trembling hands.

- All right. Your room will be on the second floor, it is going to be number 61. Here is the key. – Said the orc with a slightly condescending voice.

- Thank you, really. – Aubrey took the letter with the keys back and hurried in the door.

She went a little further inside the palace, where she could already hear the music coming from the ballroom. The guests had a wonderful time, most of them danced, drank, or even did both. However, even the blind could see the sad truth. These people were all from aristocratic snob families, who care about nothing but money, power, and wine. As she looked at them, she only saw some wretched people whose life was ruined by their selfishness. As a solution for their miserable lives, they ignore everything and everyone, only take care of themselves, trying to get drunk and forget all the turmoil around them. Aubrey hesitated a bit whether to join or try to come up with an escape plan right away. The music and the shiny marble dance floor, which almost glowed under the feet of those dancing on it, really made her want to join. She had never been a part of such fun, since events like these couldn't be held in the quarantine-city, in fact, nothing could be done that would bring any joy or entertainment to the residents there. The only one dance party - if you can call it a party - attended by her brother and a couple of furries their age was a surprise organized in secret, in a hidden corner, for Aubrey's 20th birthday. She got lost in her thoughts again when one of the guards pushed her further inside towards the parquet as a signal. She was about to join the dance, but she suddenly stopped herself. That wasn't why she was here. She decided that it wouldn't be a good idea to get distracted by something else in this mission, an after this she began to focus even more on her goal: Getting back to the Forbidden Forest, before the clock flies her back to the present. She started wandering in the seemingly endless corridor, with two guards behind her. Before she could get any further, someone stopped her.

- Sorry for bothering, but the celebration is the other way. – Said an amused male voice. The girl turned around in surprise but did not recognize the owner of the voice. It was a blond, well-dressed elf, who wore Whispers' crest as a brooch. – What happened? You can't even recognize me anymore? – The boy laughed. – Oh, come on! Should I introduce myself to you another time? Okay, lets see. Good evening my lady. My name is Morgan Royse. I'm Whisper's heir to the throne and all that silly differentiator stuff. Why don't you come and have some fun? – He held out his hand to her.

- I don't even know... - the girl stammered in confusion.

- Oh, don't refuse me again, please! – Morgan softly grabbed Aubrey's wrist and led her towards the ballroom.

By the time they got to one of the tables, the guards had blended into the crowd. Aubrey sat down in one of the free seats, and then a little girl jumped next to her.

- This party is soooo boring, don't you think? – the curly haired girl initiated the conversation. She was an elf just like Morgan.

- Well, I've been to better fun... - the girl forced a smile on herself. She knew that she was lying, since she had never seen anything like this before, but she felt that she had to stay in this role to get out of there as soon as possible. – Uhmm, anyways, what's your name?
