Chapter 1 - The legend of Green

Valenteur... A magical place. A place, where the seasons are permanent in the different areas of the island. A place, where once the furries, elves, witches and supernatural beings lived peacefully with the humans. Everyone was unique, and one of a kind. This was a land of equality, and acceptance.

The emperors of Valenteur were the Green dynasty. They kingdom was located in an oasis, in the middle of a huge desert. That's why the whole area got the name of „Oasis". They palace was surrounded closely with their peoples.

The emperor, Bennett Green divided Valenteur to kingdoms and baronies. These names are Meldew, Whisper, Cyber, Absus, Alto, Steamtown, and the Weld-Peninsulas. Each areas development was different. For instance, as its name probably says, Steamtown was in the Victorian era, while Cyber was all modern and in the future. The Weld-Peninsulas and Alto stayed in the renaissance, and at last, Whisper and Absus were stuck in the Romanesque times.

Everything was perfect, until a few of the ruling families got into a few disagreements on marriages. They wanted more power, what Bennett wasn't going to give them. This caused the royal families of Meldew and Whisper to organize a revolution against the Greens and Oasis. Unfortunately, they achieved their goal of killing the emperor and his family, and take over his reign.

What they weren't ready for, is that the youngest of the Green children, Mirage survived, and ran away where no one could find her. She was waiting for her revenge, for her people and her family.

After the death of the emperor, Meldew took over. They hated everyone, who wasn't human, or had magical abilities. They captured all the furries in the Island, and locked them into quarantine-towns, where they could live separately, but in such conditions, that no one could bare. They were basically prisoned for being different.

A year after the betrayal of Oasis, the kingdom got abandoned. Mirage took all her courage and went home. She looked around the place what was once her home and cried. Everything was dead and neglected. She came up with a plan of recruiting people, who still believe that the long-lost equality and happiness can come back. She traveled across the areas and got an army behind her. They settled down in Steamtown and freed the barony's captives. The whole peninsula became Mirage's ally, and the rebelled against Meldew, with an overwhelming success. They became free and they were not under the control of the new emperor anymore.

The girl got too brave because of her success, and tried to do the same thing in Meldew, since that kingdom was the source of all the power of Valenteur. She wanted to keep a riot, during a ball what was held in the palace.

The legends say, she did keep a riot that night, but the control fell out of her hand, and accidentally, she killed Jackson Stormguard, the king, who was the biggest supporter of prisoning the supernatural population. After this huge mistake, she disappeared again, and left her people in hope.

The death of the tyrant king leaded to instability in the island capturing system. Furries could flee to Steamtown and could live there without any harm. When the rumors spread, in many quarantine-towns the prisoners try to break out, and it got harder to manage them.

The people wanted Mirage to come back once again, and take her throne back, but she wasn't ready yet. Instead, she created talismans, to help those people who still believe in her, to gather and wait for her, when she finally returns and takes her revenge. These talismans are giving their user magical abilities, which with they can survive, or fight for their freedom. Every one of these items are different, and one can only activate that one what was assigned for them. These can be found anywhere in Valenteur, mostly in the direct surroundings of the user.

It has been four years now, to await the lost princess' coming. Everyone expects her to fulfill her promise of freeing all the captives, and step on the throne to create peace and equality to all, and finally to bring back the harmony to Valenteur for all eternity.
