"look xiao's sleeping!" said the female hydro yaksha, bonanus.
"this is our time to prank him" y/n said deviously.
"go on bosacius, paint on his face" said the geo yaksha, menogias.
"fine fine just give me a minute" bosacius said.
bosacius began painting a circle around the anemo yakshas left eye, then drew whiskers on his face as well. by the end of their antics, xiaos peaceful resting face now resembled of a cat.
"serves him right for being mean towards me" y/n said accomplished
"the cat face really does suit him because of how agile he is!" exclaimed the pyro yaksha, indraias.
"you mean how aggressive he is" y/n said with her eyebrows furrowed together
"he's not that aggressive y/n" indraias said
"well towards me he is. is it because i'm stronger than him" y/n boasts
"pfftttt, we all know you aren't stronger than xiao" said indraias
"morax legit made me for war and nothing else, how could his tiny ass even compare to my strength" y/n said in defence
unknown to y/n xiao had heard their little conversation. she was in for it when she called xiao "tiny ass".
"now now y/n no need to say that-" menogias was cut off by xiao voice
"but you sure don't sound like or act like your stronger than me" said xiao
everyone's heads turned into the direction of xiao. him being completely oblivious of what had happened a few moments ago. y/n was infuriated but it changed as soon as she saw him.
everyone had immediately started laughing because he looked so serious but the cat face paint didn't help with the tough personality.
"XIAO YOU SHOULD LOOK AT YOURSELF" said y/n with tears in her eyes from how much she'd been laughing.
xiao glared at y/n then looked at the other 4 who were laughing just as hard as y/n. xiao sighed and looked into the nearest puddle he could find. once he had saw the puddles reflection his eyes went wide then back to his usual poker face. he looked towards the laughing 5 and stared all of them down. then he said
"which one of you did this to me." his voice sounding deeper and menacing.
as soon as they heard him they immediately started running away, everyone going a different direction. he immediately started chasing after y/n using his vision to help him to catch up with her. y/n had saw xiao running after her face went immediately pale. he was getting closer and closer then she immediately thought of using her vision, electro.
she teleported back to the spot where she had been running away from.
she sighed as she was tired from running away xiao he had a look that look liked he had wanted to end her. but nothing goes her way, she saw him again, she immediately started running again as fast as she could. xiao had dashed using his vision closing up the distance in mere seconds, pinning her to the ground.

he dashed using his vision "god that's so cool" i thought getting distracted by his face, his eyes are really pretty, he's pretty. what y/n no you did not just say that he's your friend-
just as my thoughts were cut off i see xiao on top of me ON TOP OF ME oh my god. this guy is actually ethereal holy shit, his eyes, hair everything. Y/N NOT THE TIME AND PLACE TO THINK OF HIM LIKE THIS RIGHT NOW. i was cut short of me mentally fighting with myself when xiao spoke
"it was you wasn't it." xiao said
"on morax no on all the archons i didn't do this AND wasn't my idea you can ask the others." i say staring into his amber eyes "i could get lost in those" y/n please not right now.
we stare at each other i hear him panting from chasing me. just as i was wanted to tease him for being out of breath just from me running from him. he get close and closer to my face, i thought he was gonna kiss me it's like almost he read my mind he knew what i was thinking i mentally panicked by the thought of that and him getting closer.
then he went close to my ear "god y/n you really thought huh" then he whispered in a deep serious voice
"y/n if i find out your lying to me i will not let you rest."
"xiao why would i ever lie to you" i say as i batted my eyelashes
his face deadpans
"now let go of me please" i say
but his grip tightens
"i thought my tiny ass couldn't be as strong as you" his words laced in sarcasm.
"you heard that" i say baffled
"yes i did i'm not stupid like you, now tell me who's idea and who painted my face and i'll let you go" he says calmly
"i would never put my comrades under the bus, ever." i say with sarcasm in my tone
"plus you said you wouldn't let me rest if you found out i'm lying from the others doesn't that imply your going to ask the others." i say
"true but your going to tell me" xiao says
"it's just face paint why are you getting so worked up by it" i say but suddenly boldness decides to take over
"or are you just trying to get an excuse to get close to me" i say smirking
he instantly lets me go and jumps back protectively
"he really is a cat" i thought
"why would i ever want to get closer to you." he said
i look back at him with shocked painted all over my face of how straightforward he was then i go back to my normal expression. "why did that hurt" i question
"i knew that i just wanted you to let go of me, and it worked" i winked at him
"shut it" xiao says
"never" i say
i hear a disapproving grunt from him and we make our way back to the other yakshas.
...
suddenly y/n wakes up from day dreaming to thunder roaring in the sky.
"i need to stop remembering memories from the past, i mustn't get distracted by useless memories, i must honour my contract to rex lapis and the raiden shogun"
she says that as she gets up from a pool of blood from traitors of the raiden shogun. the blood staining her outfit.
