I advise you to read the first chapter called 'important A/N' before reading this
Word: more the 1200
A/N: so funny story, I must have deleted it, without me knowing, luckily I made it back up.
I recently watch this 👇 (plz watch to understand) and I have thoughts... let me explain
Now don't get me wrong, I love ways he fix the the nonbender oppression problem and there no love triangle (Thank goodness🥰); I even Listen to him and thinks he give Great advice. It just feels... unsatisfied.
Bc to me you can't fix a terrible finished product, only rewrite. As writer, we must understand why they don't work. It like unused cut content that was never in the final game; It would be cool but there a reason why they can't put it in. And look I get he wasn't doing this just bc think he can do better, I know.
Here are are 3 question about why it must work?
Why must Equalists be right?
You know I watch this video (it's in the bottom) and she explain that the civil war in book 2 is like the confit between nonbender & bender and she was right. why did nobody knows this. I now find civil war fascinating bc to quote from a video (it's in the bottom)
'Civil War are great conflicts because there's no objectivity good or evil in them if you write properly. You can have each side side be as well in tension or pretty as you like and force the viewer to engage with the story and pick a side.'
But that the question why is other side need to be right. I want to see complexity. Like have Amon think he doing good but actuality he's doing more harm and will end up A power-hungry dictator (kinda irl... I think, don't quote me), not already one from the beginning.
Even Tarrlok, make it's stablish he was power-hungry at first but now he actually cares for the city and want to see it flourish (with the help of the Avatar) but ends up causing more harm than good (I just think it make a interesting character). I want to see a interesting relationship between Amon and Korra, where at first they fighting but they start to talk about the problems or have a casual conversation and hung out, and At the end we're left to ponder the questions on whether or not they're going to continue to fight or make peace?
I love to see hypocrisy of both system; I want some rich nonbender Chuckled at the Equalists or a homeless bender hating the Equalists Speechless about bender privilege. And to quote from E:r (it's in the bottom). 'To reiterated hypocritical enemies absolute fine. In fact that would've made pretty conflict complex and layered.' I just hate everybody blames the other side for someone problems when they should be working together. I guess In my opinion I prefer the message be about The complexity of a system and how prejudice it's just a small cog among the reasonable cog... but Also not to make it too boring for children to watch.
Oh and also not about communism... maybe, i'm just saying.
Why must Asami be Equalists?
Just bc Asami is a nonbender who Suffered the same loss as her father, doesn't mean she get to be an Equalist. Why? Bc why does she?, bc there no likable heroes and she opposites?; It make history repeat it self with the firebender but worse (also bolin have suffered for the same loss as his brother but it with different results). Remember how avatar made the firebender was complex and show not everyone was ruthless and dangerous.
Like there no complexity and it's kind of make Asami a hypocrite. There quote from Fanfiction that explain.
'It's interesting, you preach about equality as you live in your mansion while people starve in the streets. Are you going to do anything to about the inequality of wealth in the city, or are bender your only priority? It seems a shame to preach about equality but only apply it to one group in particular. Shall we wage war on the rich, now? Are we going to stand up for the poor and the homeless? Honestly, Hiroshi, with all of your wealth you could help so many people, and yet you don't. Why is that? Really, all that money for yourself, using it for your own selfish wants while other suffer, you're no better then the bender you hate.' - Chapter 6, the trophy wife by mercy-angel-09 on FanFiction.Net
He still could write Asami as good guy or still a bad guy; doing charity or helping her community (heck, you could even get korra to help her to farther develop their relationship); it can show that she doesn't avoid the problem.
Right off the bat I hated the ending. Like the nonbender winning bc their Technology?. He said he found a little odd that the show solved the problem with more violence and more bender? And property destruction. When he doing the same thing?, look he still made the Equalists the bad guys; which made ending a hypocrite🤦♀️ and the bad guy won bc using fear. He Should've made Asami be against violence and only use it when necessary. (Ok I might be overreacting. but still).
Why Korra losing bender is important to her character development?
Do you even think how great will be to see Korra struggled not bending bc her identity depended on it cuz I sure don't. To me losing her bending it stupid bc there no steaks or consequences. It like Harry Potter break his wand and he learn doing to stuff without magic; discovering his identity. It doesn't work like that bc he can probably get another one; And beside he need to beat the dark Lord otherwise the world is screwed; they don't need to watch/read his identity crisis.
Now I know you guys are going to say. 'But what about book 2? It had a giant carpet God that want to destroy the world.' And yeah I agree but it was never hinted (and beside The creators was planning on 1 book) and I was actually meant why is the focus is not that if korra can't bend then she can't beat Amon.
I just think it more Interesting if when Korra can't bend she can learn self-defense then she can airbend due it being non-violence; and it fit much better then identity crisis Korra.

So that do you agree on everything or or did you disagree. Well on that note. Y̶o̶u̶ a̶r̶e̶ w̶r̶o̶n̶g̶ I̶'m̶ a̶l̶w̶a̶y̶ r̶i̶g̶h̶t̶. Haha I just kidding, I can admit when I'm wrong; I'm still learning the rope. But people can be wrong sometimes, no matter how good they are and it's OK to accept failure.
I hope you can understand, like I said I'm still learning the ropes. If you guys can't understand let me know in the comments; so I can do better.
And if you reading this Hello Future Me, I hope you will stick around in the future. I'm rewriting the Korra series (it's just for fun) hope you'll read it soon. I really trying to finish it and a lot of work in this.
Plz Vote and share 😉 #beawesome 😎
