"I just have to say, love is one of the greatest feelings known to us humans, it isn't our entirety, but it does complete us. For my prince Charming, you make me complete and to all of you, he said yes!"
"Thank you to Ashton Irwin, Calum Hood, Duke Luke Hemmings and Duke Michael Clifford or thank you to famously known 5sos for letting me join in on the writing process and bring one of the most beautiful songs to life. This is Complete mess!"
"Is this true? My grandson is getting married?"Queen of England or Queen Louisa asked as she was sat in her private section - a room specially set up for her and the guests of her choosing, that being some of the royal family members and her assistance - at the top of the Great Albert Hall, overlooking the stage and every performer that came across it. At the request of the Queen, there were four people occupying the room (that is if you counted the two guards at the entrance, in addition to the two guards outside of the entrance door). The queen was sat in the middle of the room, a chair set up to her comfort, while a person (I would like to keep their identity a mystery for now) sat next to her, ready to answer to any of her questions and requests.
"Prince Louis? I'm afraid so your royal highness"
"Afraid so? Nonsense, darning. These are wonderful news!" Queen Louisa clapped her hands excitedly and smile prominent on her face, leaving the other party very much confused.
"They are?"
"Of course! After all, the power of our country, but more importantly - ours, relays on how we play our cards and how we choose to maintain our relationships with other countries. In order to do so, we need them to believe, not think, but rather believe that we are...open-minded and inclusive wirh any business and political opportunities that are to come our way" Louisa carefully explained, never once turning to look at who she was talking to, but instead focusing on everything that was going on outside of that room, more specifically Harry's performance of Complete Mess and Louis' reaction to is (as where he was seated was below the Queen's suit and right in her sight).
"Believe? Not actually be?" The fellow challenged, causing the queen to scoff as she turned to look at her conversationalist, a certain look of distaste, as she had to explain it to them, feeling as if they were missing the bigger picture here.
"Please, don't go Aristotle on me...I could not give two dimes on who Louis decides to sleep next to, man, woman, that little Irish man from Harold's band...what I do care about is the doors that his relationship with "our golden boy" will open for us...don't forget dear, Harold is quite popular around the globe, not as popular as the royal family of course, but still popular enough. This means he won't overshadow Louis, but will still bring us the United States."
"You are also describing Little Mix, couldn't we have gotten Jade to marry Louis, I've heard that she is still single?" The person spat, obviously bitter at what the queen was implying while she elegantly smiled, replying as if all eyes were on them and her answer would make or break their future, in reality the two of them being the only ones in the room...or where they?
"We could have, but dear, that isn't the solution, Louis is gay and whether you like it or not, there isn't anything you can or will about it, unless you want to mess with me and the future king of the United Kingdom"
"Future king...you haven't?" The other party gasped, while Queen Louisa nodded her head confidently, knowing that that answer was more than enough.
"But I have"
"He is too young to rule this country!"
"And you are too old to not to know better than to argue with me" Queen Louisa raised her hand, showing it as a sign that he was being cut off, but the other party wasn't ready to go down without a fight.
"But what about Charlie or George?"
"I was asked to make my last standing decision as the queen of our country and that's what I did, Louis is my choice and I suggest, for the sake of your title in this country to play for King Louis, not against him. You might have made it far with me, but Louis is different, he isn't like you and I, he won't tolerate your tricks and schemes." Queen Louisa looked down in the direction of Louis' seats, only to find that the young royal was gone, leaving her confused for a moment, before she brushed it off, knowing that there was somebody here also following her every move and reaction.
"Louis isn't in love with Harry" The displeased conversationalist called out, leaving it hanging in the air, only to be cleared off, moments after Complete Mess went silent and Prince Louis appeared on stage, hand in hand with Harry. The cheers grew louder as Harry smiled reassuringly at the prince, taking the microphone of the stand and handing it over to Louis. Louis nodded his head, thanking Harry for the small and simple gesture, but the singer could tell that there were certain nerves for the prince, making sure to squeeze his hand in reassurance.
"Thank you all for joining us in not only the celebration of my grandmother's and above all, our queen's birthday, but also the celebration of love. I am thrilled to be up on this stage and sharing these incredible news with you. It is all true, Harry and I are engaged and we couldn't thank you enough for the incredible reaction you had to our relationship and can only hope that you will still show us love and support as we set out on this journey together. Whether I am your new king or not, it does not matter, as I am still the luckiest man to be your prince and Harry's future husband. Harry, thank you for being you, for standing by me, even when I annoy you and steal your hoodies, I couldn't have asked for a better person to do this with than you. You are a dream come true. I hope that I give you the fairytale life that you deserve, as you have already given it to me and so much more."
The look Harry had in his eyes as Louis spoke to not only the entire hall, but the entire kingdom and the world was unlike anything the queen had ever seen before and at that she couldn't help, but smile.
"See, there's a difference, I wasn't in love with your father half as much as I was in love with the crown when we were saying our I do's, but our boy, the only thing I fear for him is that Harry is going to be the one choosing the crown for Louis."
The look that the Queen had in her eyes held a completely different meaning to it. With it, she was sending a loud and clear message and that was that the cards were in her favor and that they truly had no idea who they were playing up against.
After-all, in Alice in Wonderland, there were two queens, the White Queen and the Queen of Hearts, both fighting for the reign in Wonderland and I most certainly didn't say that the good ones were always the ones winning.
