Sierra's POV

I trailed my fingers across the endless rows of books. I finally found one that looked interesting.

The Lord of the Rings, by J. R. R. Tolkien

I heard good things about the book, but never checked it out before. I grabbed it, skipping over to check it out. I grabbed a paper book mark, and flopped onto a beanbag beside Andrae.

"What'd you get?" I peered at the book he was so interested in.

The Hobbit, by J. R. R. Tolkien

"Hey, we got books by the same author!" I told him. The librarian laughed, and said something to herself.

Andrae still didn't say anything.

I sighed, poking his cheek. "Andrae."

He flinched, dropping his book. "What?"

I moved back, turning away from him. "Never mind." I said quietly.

He let out a sigh, "what was it?"

"I said never mind."

"I'm sorry."

I ignored him, picking up my book. I started reading, and heard Andrae silently curse to himself.

I sighed quietly. Stupid period.

"DANCE DANCE WE'RE FALLING APART AT THE SEAMS."

I sang along loudly with Cass, as she drove me to the fair.

I let out a content sigh when the song finished.

Cassie stopped the car, and looked at me. "Dude. I know it's that time and everything, but take it easy on the guy, alright?" She pressed urgently.

I smiled sheepishly, nodding.

"Got everything?"

"I think so." I opened my bag, looking through the things inside.

-Dude clothes. Check.

-Period shit. Check.

-Extra girl crap. Check.

I nodded, looking up at her. She patted my shoulder, "Later bum."

"Bye." I got out her car, and skipped to the booth, through the back door. Not many guys swing by, actually, just one or two per shift. I stopped, and bent down to tie my converse. I got back up, and walked for a little bit more.

I smiled, when I saw Anna. Anna ran the booth before me, and waited for me to get to the booth before running off with her friends.

"Hey Sierra." She waved.

"Hi. So, any luck today?" I teased.

She flushed, "There was this.. guy." Her friends pushed her into working the booth. Anna hasn't gone out with any guys since 9th grade. Heartbreak just scared her. So her friends thought through the kissing booth, she'd find the 'right one'.
