Y/n wiped off Emma's face with a napkin since there was some peanut butter all around her mouth. She then helped her poke the hole into her juice box as Mingi asked her to open his bag of chips, which she happily did.

"Thank you, y/n."

"You're welcome, Mingi." Y/n answered with a smile as she told Mason and Clare that she would head inside and make herself a sandwich before returning to finish up the remaining flower beds. Y/n stood up from the small picnic table the kids were eating at and opened up the sliding glass door, stepping inside and making her way over to the kitchen. The couple had told her to use whatever she pleased, so she just opted for a simple ham sandwich because she didn't want to use a lot of things anyway. She got the bread out and got the ham out, laying it down on the pieces of bread.

Then she heard footsteps coming down the staircase, knowing fully well that those footsteps she was hearing belonged to none other than Roseanne Park: the person that hates her.

Y/n decided just to ignore the woman because it would be in her best interest, so she continued to lay the deli meat onto the bread and put the rest of it back into the fridge. She also then saw some strawberries in a container and took it out, deciding to cut up a few to have along with her sandwich. One thing y/n made a mental note of was that the footsteps she had heard didn't go past the kitchen outside, so she didn't know where in the house Roseanne went. So y/n just hummed to herself as she washed the strawberries off in the sink and grabbed a small cutting board and knife to prepare them with.

"Oh so you're just going to fucking ignore me now?"

Roseanne's voice was a lot closer than y/n had anticipated. She looked over her shoulder and saw the pink haired woman standing at the entrance of the kitchen, arms crossed and annoyance present in her features. Y/n turned her attention back to cutting the strawberries as she spoke to the woman,

"I thought you wouldn't want me to talk to you, Roseanne." Y/n made sure she used the woman's actual name instead of Mrs. or Ms. or Miss because she truly didn't know which one to use with Roseanne because she obviously didn't like Mrs. even though there's a ring on her finger. Y/n heard the footsteps of the pink haired woman coming towards her,

"You're right, you shouldn't talk to me because you're below me." She stated as y/n turned her head towards the woman, stopping her actions of cutting the strawberries because she was utterly confused,

"Excuse me?"

"What? You're pathetic compared to me." Roseanne said simply as she now stood beside y/n, leaving a meter between themselves as she leaned back against the counter. Y/n took offense from her words because she was nowhere near pathetic. And the smell of her perfume made its way to her nose, making her mind a little hazy.

"I'll have you know that I'm nowhere near pathetic. I've probably achieved more in my life than you ever have." Y/n told Roseanne as she started to feel her own anger rise.

Roseanne raised an eyebrow slightly impressed that y/n was willing to go back and forth with her. It was rare that someone would do this with her, so she toyed with the lawyer for her own entertainment.

"Yeah right, you're probably your family's disappointment. I bet your parents always had low expectations for you because you were destined for nothing." Roseanne said as she reached over and ate one of the cut up strawberries. Hearing someone talk about her family like that made y/n irrationally mad because she loved her family dearly. They had always supported her in life and told her to pursue whatever she wanted when she was younger. So Roseanne's word didn't sit well with her and she snapped back,

"Tell me three things then that you've achieved without your parent's influence having any part of it."

That one stung because that's always what the public asked her and her sister Alice. Her parents were obviously well known with Mason being a top lawyer and Clare being a now retired actress. So when y/n hit her with that, she grew more defensive and standoffish. Roseanne looked up at y/n since the woman was a few inches taller than her and spoke with venom lacing her words,
