8 Of A Kind!

Chapter I: Preparation and Forgetfulness

Drew, a awkward 18 year old, is graduating Wayworth High School, along with his 7 friends. In a couple of days, the seniors are going on a field trip to the woods. But before anything, he has to finish his studies before he can go anywhere.

"I really hate studying! I always got 'amazing' grades, but somehow I'm failing in math!"

As he rambles on about studying for about 30 minutes, he got a call from Dimitri, his best friend.

*calls* "Hello? Drew?"

"Yeah? What's up 'Tree'?" Drew says. Drew calls him "Tree" because he's tall like one.

"You coming to the party in Xia & Nia's place?" Dimitri asked.

"Nah man, I got shit to do, and I don't know if I even can get over there in time."

"Aww damn, that's a let down. Anyways, you also gettin' ready for the trip, Drew?" He says.

Drew says in confusion, "Trip?"

"The... Field Trip to the Woods...?" Dimitri says to ease Drew into remembrance.

"OH NO! I TOTALLY FORGOT!" Drew says, as he yells in the phone, so called 'destroying' his eardrums.

"Yeah... imma head to the twins' house, hope you sort out your studies bro. I'll talk to you later. " Dimitri hangs up.

When Dimitri hung up, Drew was having a panic attack and was worried out of his mind. After an hour of panicking, Drew realized that it was over eleven o'clock in night. So as a goodbye, he sent the message on Snapchat in the friends' group chat. But after doing so, someone replied in his DM's. It was Xia, (Drew's love interest since he was little). Saying:

"Night Drew ;)"

The first time she said anything before he did, and he felt like he was on the moon. Drew gone to sleep on that note and had a good dream, and before he knew it, it was morning.

The next day, Drew and the gang had school, and Drew forgot they had school. So he had to rush out, but completely forgot his last math paper of his highschool career.

At school, Drew ran into one of his friends.

"Hey Drew!" Xia came outta nowhere and hugs him.

"W-w-what's with the h-hugging Xia?!" Drew awkwardly asking.

"Oh nothing. I just thought you needed it! You know me by now dude, we LITERALLY been around each other the most out of everyone else." Xia said. Even though she is right.

"Well I cant argue on that." Drew agrees to that particular fact.

"Ok... Well I'm going. See ya~" Xia walks away like an anime girl.

Saying that, she trips on AIR and was supposed to fall on her face, but Drew catches her like a superhero and picks her back up.

"Are you ok?" Drew asked, looking at her with her blushing face.

"Y-yeah..." Xia said awkwardly.

Drew walked her to class and he had to go to his Calculus 2 class. But later as he looks viciously in his bookbag, he realized that he forgot his paper, and it was too late to go back now. When the teacher said to give the papers, everyone else had their final exam papers, ready for him to collect. As Drew was panicking about the whole situation, the teacher notices he's crying and calls him after everyone was gone to lunch.

"Ummm..." Drew stammers.

"Yes, I know Drew. Don't worry about it." The Teacher said.

"Are you sure?" Drew asked.

"Yes, of course, you did so much this year, but you need to be more responsible, my friend. You can't do this when you get a job." The Teacher said, giving him an actual life.

"Yes, I understand, thank you, sir." Drew said formally.

"Now go!" The Teacher said assertively.

"Of course! Thank you, sir!" Drew said, walking out of the classroom.

Drew immediately ran to lunch to hang out with his friends. He found out later on what they were doing after school.
