Jeff POV
Today was the day my Nyemiah is coming by to help me with my yard. It had been a whole week since I last saw her, and I was miserable. My mind and my body missed her. Touching her was the worst thing I could do because I got attached. The feel of her warm skin against mine sent my body to places it has never been before. My feelings were tied up in the sound of her voice, the kindness in her heart, and the beauty she with holds.
I was literally going mad not seeing her every moment of the day. And to say I was excited to see her would be an understatement. It was beyond that. It was like my life is about to be like back up. I really needed to get more information on her.
I went over to my computer and searched her name on Facebook. I saw a lot of results but once I found her picture I quickly picked it. I sent her a friend request since I wasn't able to see her profile without it. I was brought back to reality by a knock at the door. I hopped up and basically ran to the door.
"Who is it?" I asked. I looked the the peep hole to see Nyemiah and her cousins dressed prepared for work. Nyemiah looked so adorable in her large sweats and an old black graphic T. She was also wearing her hair up in a messy bun, and a pair of old Nike's.
"The kids from next door." She said. I opened the door and smiled widely at them.
"Well I think it's about time you got here. I was starting to think you guys bailed on me." I walked out and closed the door behind me. "Follow me." We walked around to the gate that contained the other part of my yard with the pool being the main attraction.
"Wow I didn't think it was this bad." Nyemiah stressed the word this.
"Don't tell me you're backing out now." I said trying my best to hide my disappointment.
"No no it's just we won't get done today." She said pouting her lip. Oh what I'd do to kiss her right now.
"It's ok I'm in no rush. I'm not in a contest competing for who has the best lawn."
"Well if that's the case then I have a lot of time to make yours just as presentable as my grandmother's. I took horticulture in the 9th grade so I know a little something on how to make you yard look top notch. I just have so many ideas."
"Hey money's no object." I said sticking my hands in the air. It really wasn't an object. My father is a business man, I just wanted to be a fireman while my brother plans on taking over the investment business.
"Good, but all we'll need will either come from the Home Depot or the high school. As of right now we need some..."
"Paint yeah I already have that. I'm glad I have a couple of girls helping me because I'm not big on making things 'pretty'." They laughed.
"Yeah we can definitely help you, now may we get to work?" She asked.
"We may." I said leading them to the shed. I decided that today we were going to be painting the house and the wooden fence today.
"So I want the twins to take the fence Kyla and Lalah to take the shed and me and Nyemiah will take the side of the house." I said.
We got to work on the painting. Everything was going great. Nyemiah was talking to me more and I was getting more attached then before. I learned alot about her. Her favorite color, her favorite animal, her favorite celebrity, and lots more."Yeah maybe I could show you some of these skills I got on the court. Can't nobody beat Nyemiah Supreme and the Dream Team." She said bragging on her ball skills.
"Yeah whatever I played ball in high school to and I was a shooting guard, got a scholarship just like you."
"We'll see." She said simply.
"Alright." I said just as plainly.
"I think that's it for the day. We managed to get a lot more done than I would've alone." I said.
"Yeah, wanna go for a walk?" She asked me. I'd go any where with you. Is what I wanted to tell her.
"Sure where?"
"Down to the grave yard." She said as if it was completely normal to do that on a regular bases.
"Uh sure?"
"You sound scared....don't worry I'll protect you from what lurks in the night. Me and the girls go to the grave yard to just walk abd talk. Nothing to be afraid of."
"Ok." We all finished up and I gave them bottles of water before heading out to the graveyard. It wasn't really as spooky looking as the other one down the road. It had woods beside it but the was a large strip of flat land be fire you reached it. And there weren't many trees hanging over graves.
I'd say that me and Nyemiah flirted innocently back and forth nothing to serious to her, but to me it ment everything. All the small touches and close proximity had my skin on fire. Just knowing that I could actually be this close to her and for she to allow me the satisfaction of knowing a little about her made me happy. Everything about her made me...happy.
It was finally time for them to leave and to be honest I wanted them or at least her to stay. I walked them home and all of them went in except for Nyemiah.
"I want to thank you for your help its greatly appreciated." I said.
"No problem Jeff, I'll either see you tomorrow or Sunday." She gave me a quick peck on my cheek that caused my heart to soar.
"See you later." She said walking into the house. I stood there longer than normal, but when she kissed me she had me walking home with a huge smile on my face. I had made it back home and cleaned up today's work and watched as it went down the drain. I walked back into the living room and saw I had a notification saying that Nyemiah' Supreme' Rivers accepted my friend request. I spent all night looking at old picks and new ones. Printing out a couple to add to my collection.
Nyemiah Rivers you my dear, my love, my obsession....
