The Sign Said. I Sighed. Right Back At Home Again... I Looked Pass The Sign And Walked Up The Stairs Tô The Door. I Knocked And Waited. I Hope She's Home Or I Just Wasted Time . . .
               You're Probably Guessing Who I Am, Huh? I Think It's Quite Obvious At This Point. Hmm... Would Half Rose Gold Hair And The Other Half A Dark Brown? What About Bright Green Emerald Eyes? . . . Still Don't Know? I Think It's Quite Obvious Already! Well... The Names Kol, Kol Becker. I'm 17 And Attend Monarch Academy. I Didn't Really Want Tô- But I Didn't Want Tô Make My Mother Sad. Oh! Did I Forget To Mention She's Part Monkey? I'm Sure That's Her Quirk Or Somethin'.
            
The Door Opened And Out Revealed Momkey, The One Kol Spoke Of. You Could Tell It Was Her As She Did Have A lot Of Monkey Attributes. She Smiled Warmly At Kol And Pulled Him Into A Hug. . . "My Dear! How Are You!?" Momkey Exclaims Out Of Surprise And Happiness That Kol Had Come Tô Visit Her, Kol Just Smiles At Her Though He Seemed A Bit- Blue? Pale? "G-Good Mom- But Can You- Cough Please Let Me Go?-" He Struggled Out. She Was Still Hugging Kol Yet Maybe A Bit Too Tight As He Struggled Tô Breathe. She Immediately Put Kol Down And Apologized Repeatedly, Kol Didn't Mind It Though. He Knew That She Cares For Him A Lot And Would Never Hurt Him On Purpose. Kol Hugged His Mom "It's Okay Momkey! It Was Just An Accident." He Says Before Letting Go And Looking Up At Her With A Bright Smile. Momkey Couldn't Help But Smile Back Before Frowning Slightly, "Are You Sure? I Could've Seriously Hurt-" She Was Then Cut Off By Kol. "Nonsense Mom! You'd Never Hurt Me On Purpose! Or Even Hurt Me At All!" He Says, Momkey Stared At Him Before Sighing And Smiling At Him. "You're Right. I'm Sorry- I'm Just Worried That I May End Up Hurting You One Day..." She Trailed Off Before Shaking Her Head "But Everything's Going Tô Be Fine! As You Said, I Would Never Hurt You Either On Purpose Or Not." Momkey Smiles With A Bit Of Confidence. Kol Nods, "You Would Never Hurt Me.". Suddenly, A Breeze Came In And Kol Started Tô Shiver "Ummm- Mom? Can We Go Inside Already? It's Starting Tô Get Cold. I Left My Jacket-" Kol Spoke Up And Wraps His Arms Around Himself. He Was Just Wearing A Plain Long Sleeves Shirt Yet It Was Very Thin. Momkey Immediately Nods And Steps Back Tô Let Kol In, He Almost Instantly Ran In And Felt The Warmth Of His Home. He Sighed In Delight. "Finally... Warmth." Kol Mutters. Momkey Shuts The Door And Makes Kol Sit Down On The Couch, "How About I Go Make You Some Cookies?" She Asked And Kol Nods.

Kol Sat There. He Was A Bit Nervous As He Messes Around With His Hands Before Sighing. . . "Oh How Am I Supposed Tô Tell Her..? Or Really Ask Her?-" Kol Mumbled Tô Himself. He Was Talking About Artemis. Truth Be Told- He Was Going Tô Ask Momkey If She Would Adopt Artemis. He Had Met Artemis Not Too Long Ago And He Felt Sympathy For Him Due Tô Him Also Being An Orphan Like How He Himself Used Tô. Yet He Grew Up On The Streets After He Went Our Searching For His Father While Artemis Was Sent Tô An Orphanage. That Didn't Matter Though. He Just Felt... Connected, To Artemis. Kol Didn't Exactly Know Why As It Could Be Just That He Was Older Than Him And Artemis Did Kind Of Look Like Him- And Just... Was Similar Tô Him But Was Nicer. They Could Probably Pass As Twins If They Ever Hung-Out Together.

Momkey Returns Holding A Plate Of Cookies And A Glass Of Milk. She Sets It Down On The Table In Front Of Kol Before Taking A Seat Next Tô Him.

"Now... What Was It That You Wanted Tô Ask About?" Momkey Asks. Kol Looked Surprised That She Knew That He Wanted Tô Ask Her For Something But Quickly Shook His Head As His Mother Knew Him Well, He's Been With Her For 11 Years Already. He's 17 Now. It May Not Add Up Of Course- Just Wait Till You Heat His Backstory. It'll All Make Sense . . . "Well- I-", He Gulped. He Was Very Nervous. "I Wanted Tô Ask If You Could..." He Trailed Off... He Was Starting Tô Sweat. Momkey Gives Him A Reassuring Smile, "Take Your Time Sweetie. There's No Rush" She Says. Kol Nods Slowly Before Building Enough Courage Tô Finally Ask Her, "I Wanted Tô Ask If You Could Adopt A Classmate Of Mind That Is An Orphan!" He Said In A Louder Voice, Similar Tô Shouting Yet It Wasn't That Loud. Momkey Did Nothing Besides Stare At Him And Start Tô Smile. . . She Pulled Kol Into A Hug. "Oh Of Course Dear! I Don't See Why That Was So Hard Tô Ask- But That's Alright." She Says. Kol Closes His Eyes And Nods. "That's A Yes, Right?" Kol Asks And Momkey Nods Her Head. "I'll Get The Adoption Papers Tomorrow For Your Classmate. Can You Tell Me Which One?" She Asks. "His Name Is Artemis, Artemis Divil. He's Also In Class 1-b." Kol Says. Momkey Pats His Head, "Thank You Dear. Now How About You Enjoy Your Cookies And Milk Before Heading Tô Bed So That I Can Get Everything Ready For Tomorrow, Alright?" She Asks Kol And He Nods His Head.

Momkey Stood Up And Walked Away Tô The Kitchen Tô Wash The Dishes Before She Headed Back Tô Her Room. Kol Curled Up Onto The Couch And Covered Himself With The Blankets That We're On The Couch. He Reached Out And Took The Plate Of Cookies And Milk And Began Tô Munch On Them. He Absolutely Loved His Mother's Cooking And Baking. Maybe One Day He Could Make Food Just As Good As Hers! He Smiled Fondly At That Thought As He Set Down The Empty Plate And Glass Before Laying Down Ok The Couch. He Was Covered With The Blanket He Wrapped Around Himself, He Felt Warm And Cozy. Kol Closed His Eyes And Soon Drifted Off Into His Own Fantasy World. . .

Next Day in School

Kol Was At School Early And Was Chilling Inside The Room Of His First Class. No One Was Exactly There As The Teacher May Be Out Getting Something. Kol Was Messing Around With His Phone Still Very Tired Since He Had Woken Up Early Just Tô Get Back Tô His Dorm And Put On His School Uniform Before Rushing Inside The School Because He Thought He Was Going To Be Super Late. Turns Out... He Was Wrong. Very Wrong. Kol Had Gotten A Message From His Mom Saying That She Was Heading To The Orphanage Tô Try And Adopt Artemis. He Smiled Happily At The Thought Of Him Getting Adopted By Momkey. He Would Actually Have A Brother! People Might As Well Call Them "Twins" Because Of How Similar They Look. Kol Closed His Eyes And He Beamed In Happiness. "Cannot Wait!" He Said Out Loud. It Was Kinda Like He Was Talking Tô Himself If Anyone Dared Tô Walk Into The Classroom He Was In.
His Day Could've Been- Better. Tô Say At Least. Quite A Rough Day But He Managed. He Had Gotten A Call From Momkey That She Was Able Tô Adopt Artemis And Kol Could Come Clean With The News Tô Artemis. That's What Made His Day Better. Finally! He Could Tell Artemis That He Had Gotten Adopted By Momkey, His Mom. He Was Quite Excited As He Made His Away Around The School Looking For Artemis. He Wanted Him Tô Be Alone As He Didn't Want Tô Just Tell Everyone- They Could Figure It Out Themselves Or Maybe Them Both Would Share The News With Their Classmates Who May Be Curious. It All Came Down Tô What Artemis Thought. All Came Down Tô What He Thought . . . He Smiled.
