"What were you doing in the lake, I thought you were at home?" Jordie asks as he carefully reaches for my hand to pull me out of the water. I cover my chest with my hands and squish my thighs together as I land in his arms.

"Oh Jordie, I was just thinking of how lovely it'd be to swim in these calming waters." I smile not to raise suspicion.

He looks at me, a bit weirded out. "But how did you get here so fast-"

"Are you going to get in too?" I cut him off before he could question the time confusion.

He glances at the lake and then at me. "I'm good darling. Do you need a towel?" He asks as I shiver from the cooler temperature of the air. I nod and he wraps a white blanket that he found hanging on a tree branch.

"Jordie, I missed you." I admit as I pull him into a hug. He lets me suffocate him with affection as I add a peck on the cheek and a hair ruffle.

"It's only been a few minutes since I left. You must be very clingy." He teases in laughter.

"Do you hate clinginess?" I ask as I pull away and realize I marked a wet spot on his flannel when we hugged.

"I don't mind it if it's you." He admits with a charming grin. My stomach then growls violently causing me to feel it vibrate inside me.

"Are you hungry?" He takes notice of the noise my stomach made. Considering all I've eaten in the last couple hours was string cheese, I sure as hell was starving.

"A little." I reply as my body betrays me with another, louder growl.

"A little?" He giggles.

"Okay, I'm really hungry." I tell the truth and he smiles.

"Well, then I guess you're just in luck. I was right about preparing a picnic for us with lots of treats." He says as he swings a basket around his arm with fruits and vegetables in it.

"Is that what the basket is for?" I ask tiptoeing to peek at what else is in it.

"Why yes it is darling." God, I love it when he calls me darling. "I'll tell you what, how about we go to the cabin and make some tea to go along with some baked goods."

"Ouu can I help you bake?"

"Of course, darling. Come on." He takes my hand in his and leads me back to the cabin.
