This comfortable sensation
is something I never anticipated
I thought that I'd feel butterflies
the first time I'd glance at you in person
I even feared that if I touched your shoulders,
my hands might tremble
And I thought that I'd feel so awkward when we exchanged hugs
But there were no butterflies
even when your lips brushed my skin
It does warm my heart,
somehow giving comfort
And I suppose that's what set you apart from other people
Instead of making me feel anxious,
you made me feel solace
