Akira's POV - 14 Years Old

Saying Goodbye was always the hardest part.

But it had to be done.

My family had returned from the outside and we exchanged our goodbyes.

Kaori ran inside with a burst of energy.

Kaori: "The guards said you can keep it as long as they search the teddy Big Brother."

Me: "Thank you, Kaori. I'll treasure it. I promise."

Kaori walked outside of the room, waving goodbye at me. Kaede stayed behind with my dad. She approached the table to get as close to me as possible.

Kaede: "Aimee's still comatose, there are no good updates since we last visited, we just gotta pray she wakes up soon."

Me: "Thanks for the update Kaede, I appreciate that."

She turned her head swiftly to avoid my gaze.

Kaede: "Hmph, don't thank me with empty words."

I gritted my teeth and sighed heavily however she just ignore it.

Kaede: "Just get through this. Akira, we all are rooting for you."

I looked up towards her still waiting for her to meet my gaze again. She kept her head turned and was slowly starting to walk towards the exit.

Me: "Thank you Kaede-san, for being there for us when we need it most. Thank you for being a great mom to Kaori, me, and Aimee too. For everyone, I'll get through this. I promise."

Kaede: "Sh-shut up Akira, this isn't like this isn't the last time I'll see you. Geez."

I heard her starting to sniffle as her pace towards the door increased. She opened it ferociously and quickly exited the room.

My dad stood facing me. He leaned against the exit and cleared his throat.

Dad: "This is goodbye for now son, visitation is once every three months."

Me: "Yeah I know."

Dad: "There's nothing more that hasn't been said already, so take care Akira, We're all rooting for you. So don't forget our promise ok."

I nodded to him.

Me: "I'm rooting for you all too."

He grinned and proceeded towards the exit.

I wiped my tear-filled eyes to clear my vision. My vision was now clearly seeing that I was sitting in a quiet and isolated room, alone once again.

One week later

One week had passed since my family visited. I sat peacefully in my cell, listening to my stomach growl. However, I didn't allow it to disrupt my peace. I crossed my legs and relaxed my body.

It was only after about five minutes that my meditation session was disturbed.

Random Guard: "Kawakami-kun, you have a visitor."
