Akira's POV

I finished writing on the paper and slid it under my desk. My uncle had announced that my wish was about to come true. Thinking about it made my heart thump with excitement and nervousness. Is That asshole finally going to see me?

I proceed to exit the classroom to see my uncle waiting for me outside. He stopped looking at the floor and turned his attention toward me.

Uncle: "Akira, your hard work has paid off. The director will see you now."

My body froze in place for a moment, staring blankly into space.

Me: "Seriously, that bastard's finally acknowledged me?"

Uncle: "Well, you have been working hard these three years."

I felt my jaw clench and my heart started to race.

Me: "Let's go. Take me to see him."

We had walked together, side by side to eventually find a room isolated from the rest of the facility. It was easily the most massive and fancy room in this facility.

Me: "So this is that Bastard's office huh?"

My uncle had pushed me softly to the door.

Uncle: "You're doing this alone, Akira. I'll have to see you tomorrow. Remember to be respectful."

I nodded to him and entered the door. I was greeted by a stern face coldly watching me as if I was prey.

Ayanokoji: "You must be Akari's son. I've heard great things about you."

Me: "Yes that's me."

He gestured towards the chair in front of him.

Ayanokoji: "Please have a seat."

I sat in front of him and stare into his eyes. I could have felt the room around starting to freeze. He closed his eyes and proceeded to talk.

Ayanokoji: "So, why did you want to see me, Akira Kawakami?"

I felt the sweat on my eyebrow drop to my arm and my hair started to stand. The aura he gave off was tremendous.

Me: "Ayanokoji-san, I want to ask about my mother and my sister. What happened to them?"

His eyes remained closed but he had crossed his arms upon hearing my request.

Ayanokoji: "What happened to them? Hmph. Sorry but I won't tell you."

I could have felt my heart rate exponentially increasing.

Me: "Why not!? I'm their family I have to know."

He had opened his eyes to stare me down.

Ayanokoji: "This is why. You won't take it well because you're too emotional. So know your place boy."

I stood up out of my chair and leaned over the table.

Ayanokoji: "Are you thinking about hitting me, Haha Good. I've been waiting on you to abandon that no-violence nonsense. "

I clenched my fists as I felt my body shake with anger. This was the first time I had seen him smile as he gave a slight grin.

Ayanokoji: "I like you kid, you're brave to step to me like that. I'll tell you some small hints since you deserve it. Your sister's and your mother's situation were both results of my son, the girl was too weak for him. And your fool mother should have known her place, that's why she died."

I looked up at him with my body quaking from anger.

Me: "Wh-What?"

I launched myself at him grabbing his collar and prepared to punch him in his mouth, prepared to break my promise. His three security guards immediately stepped inside. They pounced upon and restrained me by the arms.

Me: "Say it again you bastard, I swear I'll kill you!"

Ayanokoji: Listen, kid, if you were a normal person I'd have you thrown in jail for that. But no matter. If you want revenge, Kiyotaka's waiting at school. Take him out. Although I don't think my masterpiece would lose to a runt like you. If you miraculously do that, I'll tell you the whole truth."

I twisted my body awkwardly and allowed my left arm to become free. I spun and used my left foot to catapult myself to Professor Ayanokoji. The other two however tackled me and held me to the ground. I wiggled my neck free and shouted to the top of my lungs.

Me: "Let me go! I'll kill him!"

The security guards then carried me outside and threw me. I ran towards the door to re-enter however, it was locked by the time I had arrived. I punched it as hard as I could and then left. There was only a red filter covering my eyes.
