Chapter Nine: Girl Power

PRESENT DAY
"What the hell do you think you're doing?" I said and shoved him into Emma's bathroom. "Your girlfriend is out there completely and utterly terrified that you are going to drop the ball here! You have no idea what she is feeling, she is crying her eyes out because she is so damn terrified that you are not going to stay because you two conceived this baby without being married! Now make your decision now! Tell me right now!" I had him pinned up against the wall ready to clock him in case he said the wrong answer. "I asked her. I asked her to marry me." He responded quickly, but I knew he had something else to say. "But?" I asked while I had him pinned, pushing him harder. "But I can't be a father, I can't risk ruining a child. It is what's best. I will give Swan the money and support for this baby, but I think it is best if it never knew it's cowardly father." He said, his eyes were looking down as he left the room. My stomach dropped inside of me, I didn't know what to tell Emma, I didn't know how to comfort her when she did it so easily to me. I opened the bathroom door and walked over to her bed, when I went to sit down there was a knock at the door. Emma was still sitting in the middle of her bed crying, so I got up and answered it. David was standing at the door holding Emilia. "Oh Robin had to go to the restroom and I think she is hungry." He had a sheepish look while he handed her to me. "Thanks David." I balanced her onto one arm and shut the door with the other. I sat down on the bed and pulled a bottle out, hoping that would soothe my crying baby. While I fed her I felt Emma's gaze on me. I turned and saw her staring at me with a nervous look. I saw how scared she looked so I picked my feet up on the bed and turned towards her. "Do you think you can feed her for a second. I just need to run to the restroom." She looked at me confused, seeing me just come out of the bathroom. "Oh well I just had a baby! Two actually! My bladder is still adjusting." I handed Emmy to her and then the bottle, I knew with it in her mouth she wouldn't cry, but once she finished I knew I would have to get her. I propped her arm up on a pillow and went into the bathroom and sat down on the tub for a while then I peeked my head out and saw Emma gently feeding my daughter. She seemed to have calmed down so I walked back into the room. "How's it going? Do you need me to grab her?" I leaned near her waiting for her answer. "Oh, sure." Emma said handing me the baby. "Emma, I don't know how to tell you this but Hook, he needs some time to, um, well he needs his space, and he wanted you to have this." I pulled out a check that I quickly wrote in the bathroom. "What. He doesn't want anything to do with us. I'm alone." Her voice shook and she started to sob."No, Emma, I'm here, I am here for you. That's what best friends are for." I tried to comfort her, she looked up with shocked eyes then fell into me crying. "Shh. Emma, you're going to be fine, you're going to be okay." I placed Emilia down in between pillows and embraced Emma while she cried.

"Go ahead and enjoy your party Regina, I will watch Emilia, people are probably wondering where you are." I smiled at her but I knew I couldn't leave her alone. "I'm going to get Robin and tell him that we are going home, Roland needs to go to sleep and Emmy needs to go home. He will catch a ride home with Will, plus I think he wants to stay and socialize. But you are coming home with us, you need to get away from all of this." I grabbed her hand and held it. "I promise you won't be alone, not while I have a say in the matter." I said sternly then I grabbed Emmy and stood up. "Grab your things, I will tell your parents that you are staying with me for a while." I opened the door and walked down the stairs and grabbed my purse and the diaper bag. "Hey Robin, I need to talk to you." He excused himself from Granny and walked over with me to the kitchen. "Emma is pregnant, and Hook is not being too supportive about this right now so I'm taking her home with us and she's gonna stay with us for a while. I'm taking Emmy and Roland home too, I arranged for Will and Belle to take you home whenever you want to come home, but babe she's having a rough time and she helped me when I was in trouble so I need to help her. She's my best friend. We have to help her." Robin looked at me with a smile and nodded. "Of course. Just hope that she's prepared for a crying newborn tonight!" We both laughed and stared at Emmy. "Okay well I will see you at home babe, and you too my little princess." Robin rubbed her head and kissed her.
"Mary Margaret, I need to talk to you." I pulled her away from her conversation and into the bathroom. "Emma is going to stay with Robin and I for a while, she's not angry at you or upset with you guys, she just needs some space so she's going to be with us." Mary Margaret looked shocked and confused. "What is going on? Is she alright?" She looked concerned, I wanted to answer her and tell her what was going on with her daughter, but I promised Emma. I pursed my lips and sighed. "You just need to trust me."
