Darkness, that is all the blonde could see, why? Well...he did not know...all he knew was pain...and darkness...so much darkness...

"He's here! Someone call an ambulance!"

What?

Who said that?

Why are they here?

Why can't I see...?

The pitch black soon turned white as he felt air brush against his skin as a firm grip held his arms pulling him from...what...? Dirt? Gravel? Sand? Rubble...? He did not know, all he knew was that it was so bright...

A shadow...? Who is that...? Is their mouth moving...? What are they saying...? I-I...

"Don't worry...you're in good hands now..."

He was...? Why would he not be in good hands before...?

What is happening...?

Dark...

White...

What...? Where am I? Wait...what happened?

He slowly opened his eyes fully getting adjusted to the bright lights, he turned his head to check his surroundings. He was on a white bed covered with a small white blanket and some tubes connected to his arms. He dismissed it and continued looking around. Soon spotting what looked like a TV? On the wall, it was off so he couldn't see what was playing on it so he looked around again. Slowly paying attention to all the minor and major details, the cracks in the walls, the white tile floors, the door that says "Room 156" and the couch...hosting two people on it.

Wait...I know them...hang on...

He jumped up in surprise and looked at his parents with wide eyes. They were sleeping, leaning on one another for support, he examined their faces and saw that they both had dry tears on their faces, red puffy eyes and dark purple eyebags. He didn't like seeing his parents like that.

He tried to get out of the bed to try to hug them tell them he was okay and that he was now safe...but...it just didn't work his way. He sat up and tried tossing his legs down the side of the bed.

...What...?

Why won't his legs work!? They felt like they were numb...like he couldn't control them. That freaked him out, he started hyperventilating while his heart monitor started beating like mad, matching his quickened heart beat. That alerted his parents and some nurses that were in the area. They all rushed to see what was happening they all then saw a blonde boy hyperventilating on the hospital bed, while clutching at the sheets for dear life while his parents were scared shitless.

They all rushed to try to calm him down but nothing was working. That is until his mother had enough and decided she would do something everyone else wouldn't approve of...

She slapped him...

That got him out of his shock and he stopped hyperventilating, only heavy breathing while he looked up at his mother who had new tears running down her cheeks. He felt his eyes water as he just wanted to be hugged, told everything was alright and everything will go back to normal sometime soon. He opened up his arms wanting nothing more than his mother's loving embrace. His mother sobbed and quickly hugged him tight burying her head into her 12 year old son's spiky ash blonde hair.
