The moment you woke up, you did nothing but stare at the ceiling, trying to figure out what happened last night and what you should do from now on.
Your emotions were a mess. You think it's either you're so called hormones or you're regretting leaving Haruchiyo alone, after all, you've been with him for almost seven years.
Your first four years with him must've been the best days of your life, the quiet nights, the date nights and ofcourse, the special days like birthdays or holidays.
Just where did things go wrongs? where did you go wrong?
You really wish you listened to your brothers back then when they told you that he was no good for you.
Come to think of it, getting married at the young age of eighteen was never in your so called dream life.
When you were young, you imagined your twenty three years old self to be getting drunk at the most luxurious clubs and hooking up with the best people you can find that night and maybe even travelling.
But here you are, already going through a divorce, broken hearted, feeling pathetic, and pregnant.
Oh...you're pregnant, you'll be a mom soon.
Will it be a boy or girl?
Will it look more like you or Haru? Or will it look like the both of you?
What should you name them?
A smile appeared on your face, imagining how small and cute your baby will be, how you'll dress them up like how you used to dress up your dolls, and how you would spoil them rotten and give them everything they ever wanted and needed.
Except a complete happy family, a father by their side.
But you can fill in as their dad yourself, right? and beside, your brothers' are there if ever. You can do it... You... And your brother can do it... Right?
You can be a good mom, you'd be a good mom...right?
"Reina? you up yet?" Ran's voice pulled you out of you spiral of thoughts. "Reina?"
You told him to come in and so he did. He sat at the edge of your bed and you sat up, avoiding your brother's gaze. "anything wrong? you feeling alright?"
you shook your head no, fiddling with your morning hair. "no, I'm good. What's up?" you asked with a small smile on your lips. "Rin's gonna cooking breakfast Downstairs. You should also get ready for the day." Ran's voice was gentle, the same gentle voice that have always comforted you all your life. The voice that always says everything you needed to hear.
You nodded. Ran gave you a bright smile, tucking your red hair behind your ear and kissing the top of your head then giving you a hug that you immediately returned. "we're here, 'kay? remember that. Me and Rin would never leave you and this soon to be little brat that's growing inside you, okay? We love you. you did the right thing." Ran felt you nodded and buried your face deeper into his shoulders. Then he heard you lightly sobbing.
Ran rubbed circles onto your back while he whisper comforts to you. Once you calmed down, you pulled away from the hug while you hid your face behind your hands, wiping your tears while you were at it. "get down once you're ready, okay?" you nodded behind your hands.
Ran stood up as he chuckles. You always hide your face everytime you cry, saying you look pathetic while crying. He never really understood why you think so, but he knows you hated crying.
"is she up?" Rindo asked Ran who seems so stoic and scary right now. It's either because it's early in the morning or he's still mad about last night. Probably both.
"yeah, seems like she'd been up for a while. She probably have a lot going through her mind right now." Ran said as he plop himself into the sofa. "if only I was more hard on her before, she wouldn't be going through all the bullshit that Sanzu's putting her through."
Rindo sighed when he heard what his brother said. He can't deny that Ran is too soft on you but he had his fault too, he tolerated and defended you too much as well. "it wouldn't have matter if you were more strict to her or not. She's Y/n, she probably would've gone with Sanzu either way. No point on pointing fingers now."
"Rin, the egg." the younger brother flinched when he suddenly smelled something burning. "shit!" Rindo cursed, attending the now burnt omelette. He put the flames on too high.
"both you and Reina would be dead without me, wouldn't you?" the eldest sigh, asking Rin to leave the cooking to him.
A little sister who's a a bratty cry baby and a little brother who's way to careless. Seriously, what would the two of you do without him?
More than thirty minutes pass, you came out of your room all fresh, smelling like lavender. And at the same time, the two brothers just finished preparing breakfast.
"oh, by the way, Reina which room would you like to be the nursery room? tell me so we can have it prepared as soon as possible." Ran chimed with excitement in his tone.
"actually... I was thinking of getting a new place." you said hesitatingly. It was a good thing that Ran brought it up himself. "what do you mean? You're not going to stay here?" Rindo asked
"I don't wanna bother you both further. and besides, getting a new place would be easy for me. And no offence, I don't think i wanna raise my child where you two often do your illegal transactions-you guys understand right? This is the reason why Haru and I hesitated for a child earlier on. And-and I promise that both of us would be okay." you said, trying to convince them. The whole time you were in the he bathroom, you've thought about this. Feeling guilty how much of a trouble you would cause them.
"bother? Reina, you're not bothering us-we're more than happy to for you to be here. Okay, I understand your reason but I don't think it's a good idea for you to be on your own, especially now that you're pregnant, who would take care of you?" Ran was obviously not pleased with the idea, not a single bit.
"but, if I don't, I'd be too reliant on you. I don't wanna be too reliant on you two when I have my child. How would I ever learn to-"
"that's the same reason you gave us when you wanted to be with Sanzu, we let you, now look what happened." Ran cut you off with stern voice that he rarely use. You pressed your lips into a thin line, not knowing what to say to Ran.
"ani, don't you think Y/n have a point. She's too reliant on us. She's already twenty three, she can take care of herself. Besides, how would she even learn how to be-"
"that's not the point. The point is that she's pregnant and she's planning to live alone. There's not a hint of good idea in that. Y/n, think this through, okay? Getting through pregnancy is hard. You would want at least on person at your side at all time. You've never taken care of a kid before, you wouldn't be able to do it alone-" Ran stopped when he realised that he's making it sound like you're incapable of anything. Which means useless and pathetic in your dictionary. And he knows how much you don't like that.
"fine-but, only once you get the hang of the parenting thing. Meaning, I'd let you live on your own once that baby is not so fragile anymore. And I'm certainly not letting you live alone when you're pregnant. Because atleast here, you'd have one of us at your side to handle all of your needs. Is that clear? You'll move out once the baby is already a toddler."
You hesitated. it wasn't exactly what you wanted, but it's better than nothing." okay, I'll take the room closest to mine as the nursery room." you sighed, feeling a bit of disappointment on how you could never win against your big brother on situation like these
"we'll get that started. And throw the thought that you're a bother to us, okay? You're not." you simply nodded.
I just updated like the other day but I wanted to update again to make up for dull last chapter. Also it's Haru's bday.
😆Even tho he's not in this Chapter.
